Thinking about trying out yoga but not too sure yet? Sometimes that first step onto the mat can be the hardest part of a yoga class. Hi everyone,
We are Becky and Pedro, two yoga teachers living in Wadhurst who are passionate about bringing the benefits, love and connection of yoga to the community.
Our yoga emphasises that there is no need to look a certain way to practice yoga, no fancy, expensive yoga clothes needed, no need to be able to touch your toes or stand on your head, no judgement, no competition and no expectations.
We encourage people to come to the mat as you are and do what you can;
Yoga is for every body and Everybody.
We teach a gentle flow class, with maybe the odd challenge in there – wobbles and laughs encouraged – options always given
We believe that everyone can do yoga – we stretch, we move, we breathe, we connect.
We understand that it can be scary to step into a class, onto the mat for the first time, so we try to cultivate a safe space for beginners and experienced yogis alike.
Hi, I’m Becky:
I have been practicing yoga since 2013 and completed my 200- hour yoga teacher training in 2019. I am a mental health social worker and have continued my yoga studies by taking courses in yoga for mental health, yoga for all (accessible yoga), and chair yoga.
I am passionate about bringing yoga to people who may think yoga is not for them; people who think they don't have the right body, the right clothes or who don't think they have the flexibility. My own yoga practice has been, and continues to be, a journey, changing and developing through the years. I feel privileged to lead people through their own yoga journey, on and off the mat.
Hi, I’m Pedro:
I’ve been devoted to my yoga practice for six years, and recently felt a deep inner calling to step further into this path. This led me to complete my 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training, along with additional courses in mindful meditation and related practices.
I now feel ready to expand both my inner and outer journey as a teacher and student. I’m seeking to deepen my practice, refine my teaching, and continue evolving in alignment with the teachings of yoga and conscious living.
We look forward to seeing you on the mat!
