Spring is on the way… 🌿🌼🌱🌷

For some of us, dark mornings and evenings can make us feel really low. The consistent cold, wet, and windy weather can also impact our mood ☔️

The good news is that we're heading towards spring. And we’re gaining an average of 4 minutes of daylight per day 🌞

Fun fact: The amount of daylight gained varies depending on how far north and south you are

What’s your favourite part about spring?

There is such an ethereal beauty to the snow and ice. We would have loved to have been out there tomorrow folks but given the weather warnings, we are choosing safety this time. We will post the snow day changed date soon!

Stay cosy.

We had a wonderful walk this week. Thank you to all who joined us. The sun came out after many days of rain. The birds on the beautiful lake were in a very friendly mood too.

We talked dopamine - healthy and less helpful sources and much more.

Our next walk will be 9.30-10.30 on Wednesday 7th of January 2026. Come join us and start the year with calm and connection in nature.

Walking in nature can be so transformative - on a minute to minute timescale and also over the months and years. Nature teaches us so much in these moments. I had to take the dog out today and after a battle with my teen this morning (over something tiny that seemed big at the time), I felt spent. No energy and the grey rainy sky was not helping.

We went out anyway, because I have known over the years that I will feel so much better after the walk, even if the first step is hard.

Nature rewarded me with a beautiful reminder of the blue skies and sunshine that are behind every cloud - but we only get to see this when we push past the inertia and step out there.
