Welcome to Dine-Ability North East 🍽

We are 4 lads from Lifelong Ability North East - LANE who all have individual diverse needs.

On Friday we are visiting restaurants across the North East as part of our Friday Community Day discovering new places and building independence.

We are highlighting and promoting the accessibility of each restaurant to help others find welcoming and inclusive dining experiences for everyone to enjoy across the north east.

Going out for a meal is something many people enjoy but for those with disabilities or additional needs it can be challenging when you don’t know if a restaurant is accessible or inclusive.

Not knowing if there’s wheelchair access, accessible toilets or a welcoming environment can make planning a simple meal out feel stressful or even impossible.

That’s why Dine-Ability North East is all about exploring local restaurants, sharing our experiences and highlighting places that make everyone feel welcome.

I'd like to thank everyone for allowing their children to join our programmes over the past 4 weeks. We have all had such an amazing time. I'd also like to thank the staff, they're by far some of the best people I have ever met, thank you all.

Huge thank you to everyone, children(over 100 children!) and all adults, for today. We had a fantastic day in Richardson Dees Park. Lots of inflatables, sports games, dinner and even an ice cream! Extra special thank you to Double Deckers and the guys from Wallsend Parks for their support.

If you would like to join us in Richardson Dees Park on the 13th August we will have an obstacle course, giant blow up slide, bouncy castle, games, ice cream, pizza and more.

Good afternoon.

We want to clarify what has happened with our clubs this morning. We received information from reliable sources that there was a threat of rioting within our locality.

In line with safeguarding protocols and advice based on current circumstances we decided to send a text to parents offering the opportunity to collect their children if they felt necessary. Some children left with parents and some have stayed with us.

We would like to thank Northumbria Police who came to clarify and reassure what was happening , however, by this point we had already acted on information given.

Children's safety will always be of our utmost importance. The reason for the current situation nation wide is due to something similar to this.

All children were informed that it was an issue with the building and were not made aware of what was happening.

We would like to take the opportunity to push again that we have not listened to hear say and that we have taken this information from a well known source.

We had a little bit of funding for a SEND only provision so we couldn't offer it to everyone. Those who have been offered a place should have recieved an email with a booking link on, if you don't need a place please let me know.
