Walking more now that the weather is improving?
Walking is one of the best ways to support overall health, but if the body has underlying stiffness in the spine or joints, increased activity can sometimes highlight discomfort.
Chiropractic care focuses on improving movement and reducing restrictions so the body can move more freely.

If walking has started to feel uncomfortable, it may be worth getting things checked early.
Contact the clinic if you would like to speak to someone about how chiropractic care may support your mobility.

Does chiropractic treatment always involve cracking?

This is one of the most common questions people ask before their first appointment.
In reality, many chiropractic techniques are very gentle.

At The Surrey Chiropractor we use approaches such as McTimoney chiropractic, SOT and cranial techniques which focus on subtle and controlled adjustments. These techniques are often suitable for patients who prefer a lighter treatment style.

If you have ever been curious about chiropractic care but unsure what to expect, please contact the clinic and we would be happy to talk it through with you.

Who do people in Surrey trust for sports massage?

Victoria at The Surrey Chiropractor provides targeted sports massage treatments designed to release tension, improve circulation and support recovery.

Sports massage focuses on the soft tissues of the body including muscles, tendons and ligaments. It helps break down knots, reduce tightness and improve flexibility.

It is beneficial for both active people and those dealing with everyday aches from work, posture or stress.

It also works extremely well alongside chiropractic care, helping muscles relax so adjustments can be more effective.

Each session is tailored to your needs, with clear communication and advice to help you maintain the results.

From starting and building a London clinic to a garden studio to a riverside chiropractic centre.
What started as a small home clinic has grown into a beautiful space on Desborough Island, right in the heart of the River Thames.
It feels perfectly aligned with Lyana’s journey. Her love of rowing on the river, combined with years of dedication to chiropractic care, has shaped a clinic that reflects movement, wellbeing, and growth.
This move wasn’t just about a new location. It was about creating a calm, professional space where more people could access care, feel comfortable, and start their own journey towards better health.
Have you visited our Desborough Island clinic?

Did you know that one of the things that truly sets Lyana apart is her advanced and Certified Craniopath qualifications in Sacro-Occipital Technique (SOT).

This gentle, holistic approach focuses on the connection between the base of the spine (the sacrum) and the head (the occiput), supporting the nervous system through cranial and visceral work as well as spinal alignment.

In simple terms, it looks at how your whole body works together. Not just where it hurts.

Because this technique supports the nervous system, it can help with posture, tension, headaches, stress, and overall balance.

Have you experienced this type of treatment with Lyana?

New here? Let’s re-introduce you to Mansa.

Mansa’s journey into chiropractic began with a personal experience: seeing a young family member struggle with chronic discomfort and watching how gentle, precise care transformed their quality of life. This resonated with her core values and beliefs, she knew her path was to support others in particular children allowing them to grow and develop to their fullest.

Beyond paediatric care, Mansa is also undertaking her Masters in animal chiropractic care, bringing that same love and attention to your furry (and slithery 🐍) family members. 🐶🐴🐱 Watch this space for updates and tag friends who may find this useful!

In the photo above, meet Simba, a little pup who keeps Mansa inspired and grounded every day.

If you’d like to know more about how Mansa can support your family, just send us a message.

Introductions for our new followers...!

Meet Lyana, the heart behind The Surrey Chiropractor.
Lyana’s journey into chiropractic began with a deep interest in movement and biomechanics. Alongside a love of rowing and years of hands-on training, it naturally led her into a career focused on helping people feel stronger, more balanced, and more connected to their bodies.

But more than qualifications, Lyana brings genuine care into everything she does. Every appointment is shaped by her belief that people deserve to feel heard, supported, and understood.

You will have your lowest levels of vitamin D now if you are not supplementing. NHS guidelines (photos 3-5): EVERYONE should take be taking vitamin D throughout Autumn and Winter. That’s you. And everyone in your family! Low vitamin D means low energy, low mood and low immune system (and bone fractures). Ask for a blood test if you’re not sure or buy a private test).

In the summer we are vitamin D machines and can get 20,000iu of vit D in half an hour sitting in sunlight (with skin bared). From October to April we NEED to supplement as the sun is not strong enough to give us optimal levels. You must supplement all year round if you cannot go outside daily in the summer or are mostly covered up with clothing or are under 4!!

Grab these from the clinic or order direct online (you just have to choose the practitioner Lyana Nepia). They’re a great dose, have two forms of K2 in for maximum absorption and taste amazing (leave them to slowly dissolve between your gum and cheek for maximum absorption).
