Very special Winter Solstice Meditation and Ceremony

Together we honoured the sacred darkness of the longest night and welcomed the rebirth of the Sun.

Releasing to the healing waters of the Earth that which felt heavy or dense (spent energies from the last 9 year cycle).

We created prayer bundles filled with components symbolising gratitude and hope for the year ahead.

Wishing you all a smooth sailing festive season.

And thank you again for following this little page which I believe is now in its 14th year.

The Winter Solstice honours both the darkness and the return to light, Solstice meaning 'Sun Standing Still' suggesting a pause where we can reflect on the natural cycles of our life-giving Sun.
And begin to wrap up the year gone by.

This year, it falls tomorrow afternoon (21st) at 3:03pm.

We are encouraged to reflect on what feels outdated or no longer needed. Old ways of being that may restrict us from walking in alignment to our true calling/purpose. That which needs releasing before we step gently into a fresh new cycle. What would you like to leave behind in 2025?

We may naturally look back over the past year and wish that we could have changed certain events or outcomes –so try to avoid the tendency to grip on to that which is meant to end.

An invitation to slow down, to show up for ourselves, to rest and replenish, and tend to anything which needs our care and attention. Honouring natures rhythms.

And importantly to move towards whatever it is that brings you peace, calm and tranquillity, (even with the external excitement of seasonal festivities).

Acknowledge this time of reset, cleansing and renewal, so you can effortlessly unroot from the past and transition into whom you are becoming.

For 6 months the days have been getting shorter as the darkness grew. But on the Winter Solstice, the Light returns. From here the days will continue to grow longer and brighter until the Sun is strong enough to return life to everything in nature.

You can sense there is magic brewing deep down in the dark soil as a new cycle of rebirth and renewal is beginning on the turning of the wheel.

The Winter Solstice is a beautiful beacon of Hope.

This is Bernard - the coolest Crow on the block.

For 4 years I have been slowly gaining his trust (patience and routine is apparently key to befriending a Crow).

To begin with he would only fly down for food after I was safely back in the building.

But little by little he has become more courageous and now lands on the grass just in front of me.

Originally I named him Mr Crow, (studies have shown they recognise their names and can also clearly identify individuals through face recognition)…… however a few months ago when I called him ‘Mr Crow’, he looked the other way and shook his head twice, super clearly.

I suddenly realised he wasn’t keen on his name and that maybe he was telling me that he is unique and special, and that any Crow should not simply be categorised with all the other Crows.

So out loud (and a little embarrassingly in front of dog walkers/passers-by) I went through a list of names and somehow got to Bernard, to which he responded (clear as day – no exaggeration on my part) with a look directly into my eyes, as he blinked slowly twice, followed by two really pronounced nods of his little head. (I am completely aware that this may sound a little ‘out there’😊)

Since then I call him every day by his name ‘Bernard’, he flies into the trees above wherever I’m standing, calls back (I love the sound of his voice), then promptly flies down onto the grass and hops right on over.
And if I am really lucky he persuades his wife Betty to join us! It won’t be long before he’s feeding by hand.

I even purchased a special crow whistle device, however Bernard isn’t overly impressed!!

When I am in my studio either teaching or with clients, he waits patiently on the nearest patch of grass to make sure I can see that he is there.

Not sure why this little connection has touched my heart quite as deeply as it has.

So I began to research the studies on Crows - nearly as much as I have done with Ducks, Swans and Geese. Crows are awesome 😊 incredibly intelligent (ranked close to primates in cognitive ability), they create tools and solve complex problems, Crows remember faces and those who are kind to them; not only this but they let the other Crows know too with their very own regional dialect. They can also hold grudges for life and will become aggressive if threatened (go Crow power!)

It has been scientifically proved (don’t ask me how) but Crows can think about their own thoughts!!! As can us humans.

Spiritually Crows represent:
Transformation, change, regeneration, intuition, messages from your guides/spirit realms and protection.

The last of 3 Supermoons and the final Full Moon of 2025

Thursday December 4th in the sign of Gemini

It’s a big one!

We are currently in a universal 9 year, a year of endings, closure and completion. The ‘9 years’ in numerology are always quite challenging, there is often a push/pull energy, to that which feels safe and familiar and that which you have simply outgrown.
Somewhat of an energetic overlap.

Surrendering and going with the flow has been super important over the last 11 months.

This moon reflects the energy perfectly (as these things always do).

A big theme for this supermoon is:

‘If it needs to fall let it fall’.

Old behaviours, patterns, emotions, all of the outdated ways of being that deep down you know you are ready to leave behind. (Especially feelings of unworthiness, where you have been afraid to shine).

Approaching next year wiser, stronger and with the clarity you require after integrating the last 9 year cycle – embodying both the lessons and the gifts. It will be a much lighter year filled with invitations and opportunities (thank goodness).

In a nut shell the 1 year, (2026) is ever so exciting, associated with the Sun it represents new beginnings, a brand new chapter, creating your destiny, personal power, vitality, initiative and leading the way.

I would recommend a little ritual on the 4th December to honour what needs to fall, as we move towards the end of this year.

Clear a space
Cleanse your energy
Light a candle to draw in the light
Meditate and gently listen to the whispers from your heart
Write down anything which is holding you back or keeping you stuck
That which is no longer yours to carry
And that which no longer serves your highest path
What are you ready to release? What has passed its sell by date? What cannot travel into the next cycle?
Then burn the paper (preferably outside - for health and safety reasons 😊)

Affirmation: I release that which no longer serves my highest path. I let go of old patterns, behaviours and limitations that are keeping me stuck. The past is a wise memory, the future holds endless possibilities. Yet in this moment I am fully present and rooted to the Earth. I choose to make healthy choices both emotionally and physically. I allow only good and loving energy to enter my field. The rest I release with love.

Crystals to keep close: Moonstone (a given), Smoky Quartz, Black Tourmaline and Amethyst.

This moon is asking you to dig deep, to trust that all is unfolding in accordance with the highest plan.

And also to pause and acknowledge your successes, achievements and personal growth this year.

You made it right here through all of the messy twists and turns of this human terrain.

And through all of the glorious joy filled pleasures.

Each step created with love is most definitely a step in the right direction.

Glastonbury Wellbeing Retreat 2026

September 10th for a 3 night stay.

We have exclusive use of our stunning venue which includes; 11 beautiful cottages, one huge farm house, and 3 glamping pods.

A trip to the truly delightful Chalice Well and gardens.

Glastonbury Abbey - complete with our own private Abbey tour guide, plus a 30 minute Meditation in the secluded area of the 'sacred space' within the grounds.

Our very own private visit to the tranquil candle lit White Spring where we will have the whole space to ourselves for an hour. There is the opportunity to bathe in the healing waters of the Spring, or simply to sit peacefully by the shrines (I can't begin to explain how special the energy is there).

Our brilliant 'Tor' guide Roger will be giving us a 'Tour of the Tor' :) Roger is amazing! He will also teach us about the powerful lay lines and incredible history of the two ancient oak trees Gog and Magog.

I am super excited to welcome gorgeous guest speakers who will be offering spiritual workshops on our retreat, sharing their knowledge, wisdom and teachings.

Meditations, fire ceremonies, drum journeys and most importantly an opportunity to deeply connect to the energy of this sacred land.

It will be a wonderful and joy filled adventure to what is widely known as the Heart Chakra of the Earth.

Introduction to Crystals Workshop (tonight) 12th November 7:30pm to 9:30pm £40, manual and crystals included.

We explore the science/studies behind the magic of crystals, choosing the perfect crystals for you, cleansing, programming, pendulum dowsing, chakra healing with crystals and a crystal meditation, lots of fun practical crystal exercises.

Drum circle with myself and the incredible Grant Wilson 25th November 7:30pm to 9:30pm £20

No drumming experience needed, you can bring a drum or borrow one of ours. As always we will be tuning in to the seasonal and planetary energies with; drum journeys, drum healing, mantra and group drumming with the gigantic pow wow drum. Be prepared to fly happily off into space!

Thank you, stunning Santorini! You were amazing.

Such a wonderful and uplifting Retreat. Shared with the most beautiful, kind, warm and friendly guests.

Thank you for showing up with your wide open, undefended hearts; and for sharing so much love.

Thank you for holding each other’s hands, and for holding each other’s hearts.

The magic of the island most definitely flowed up through the soles of our feet

The mountains held us safely, reminding us of our unwavering inner strength

The sun beamed down to empower us (the thunder storm cleared our path ahead)!

And the waves reminded us that it is ok to be, to breathe

We have returned home carrying the essence of the lunar island deep within our hearts, to weave this light back into our daily lives.

Even after the months and months of preparation and meticulous planning you can still never quite tell how it will all fall into place.

So many huge heart opening moments that I simply can't put into words.

Our 5* resort was gorgeous, the dining delicious and plentiful.
