Spring Equinox 2026 at last - bring it on!!

20th March at 2:46pm

The word “Equinox” means equal-night. It occurs when the sun passes over the celestial equator, and night and day are approximately the same length. It is a virtual balance between the heavens and the earth.

Simply a magical time - you can feel it in the air. The buds are appearing on the branches of the trees, the bird song returning, longer warmer days, and daffodils are out in full force.

A brand new surge of life which is filled with limitless potential.

The Spring Equinox is a celebration where we can naturally draw more light into our days and into our lives.

This is a wonderful opportunity to plant your seeds of intention - your hearts deepest desires, your visions, your dreams, your wishes and your goals.

An invitation to focus on that which you wish to draw into your life. What it is that feels in perfect alignment to your souls calling/truest expression - and to nurture these seeds with an abundance of love, tend to them gently, and watch as they blossom and grow into fruition.

Possibly even more energetically significant as we are in a Universal 1 year, and the year of the Fire Horse.

All the way back in 2016 I shared a guided ‘beach visualisation’ with my lovely meditation group (when we used to hold the classes in my living room, which now seems like a lifetime ago).

One lady in our circle said ‘why can’t we actually do this for real?’. And from thereon the Well-Being Retreats were birthed. Little did I realise back then the hundreds of hours of planning and preparation involved, plus the legalities required.

In 2017 I held my first ever retreat in Portugal with the most amazing and beautiful souls.

So a huge thank you if you have put your trust in any of our last 15 retreats (and to some of you for attending nearly all of them😊).

It is always the kind, caring, compassionate and heart centred guests that make these experiences so special.

I rarely take any photos as we are always too immersed in the retreat vibe to think about the outside world. Plus I am rubbish at photography. However there is the option of joining one group photograph at the end of each retreat to capture our collective experience. Here are the last 15 :)

This year we are off to Sardinia in May, and Glastonbury Town in September.

Our next Santorini Retreat is confirmed for October 2027. The May 2027 Retreat destination tbc – Portugal, Ibiza or Sardinia again (as it is sooo magical there)

Extract from Jeff Foster - The Way of Rest - Finding the courage to hold everything in love.

‘And sometimes you are walking down a familiar path on a spring morning, and there are questions raging, questions that seem to demand immediate answers.

What to do with this precious gift of life?
Where to go?
What to say next?
Which choice to make or not make?
Which voice to listen to?
How to make everything ok?
How to hold it all together?

And suddenly the questions cannot hold; they shatter into a million silences because a tiny bird has perched itself on the path in front of you, perched in the Here and Now, not in the There and Then in which you are seeking answers.

Your eyes meet hers, and you know that everything is okay with the universe.
Questions will get answered or not answered, solutions will appear or not appear - all at the perfect time, because you will make yourself available to them, as you are now available to this tiny and unexpected bird.

Perhaps today is not a day for answers and unshakable certainties; Perhaps it is a day for birdsong'.

When the chaos, instability and uncertainty of the world feels heavy.

During these very troubled and unsettled times - It may feel like just one small act or heartfelt prayer is not enough to help on a grand scale, however let's not underestimate the power of collective intention.

Numerous studies on the results of prayer prove how powerful and transformative it can be.

Our wishes and intentions are amplified in the form of ripples of light (which are far more than the sum of their parts), and in turn can open a beautiful space for miracles to occur.

Every thought, intention, action, deed count.

Every prayer and healing Meditation matters.

Each time you sit with compassion (the natural caring of your heart) your frequency tunes into the energy of love. You connect on an energetic level with others all around the world who are sending out healing prayers and loving kindness.

We can invite, into our prayers all of the light beings in service to our human experience on the planet at this time.

Compassion is an inbuilt sensitivity, a beautiful raw vulnerability that in turn motivates us.

Compassion gives us the courage to make a difference in the world, to help - albeit in some small way to alleviate our own or another’s suffering.

Compassion is gentle yet courageous.

Compassion is a true flavour of the heart.

Compassion is medicine for the world.

It has a deep evolutionary purpose.

From the book ‘the art of happiness’ – if you want others to be happy practice compassion, if you want to be happy practice compassion’

A desire to show up for ourselves and others, to take inspired action as a means to be of service - with a generosity of spirit and an openness of heart.

Each step creates impact.

As we drop into our hearts we recognise this energy of loving kindness and compassion as our souls' expression through human consciousness.

Acknowledging our role in co-creating a more peaceful, kind and compassionate future.

We can become at home in our bodies, at home in our hearts, at home with each other, and at home on the earth.

As Tara Brach writes ‘know that our hearts are big enough to hold 1000 sorrows and 1000 joys’.

May all beings have happiness and the causes of happiness
May all beings be know peace in their hearts
May all beings walk gently upon the Earth
May all beings know the oneness of all that exists.

Hope is a bright light which cannot fade even in the darkest of nights.

On March 3rd we have a ‘Full Blood Worm Moon Eclipse’. Wooaaah! in the Earthly sign of Virgo.

Eclipses occur on our planet when the Sun, Moon, and Earth line up. Exactly how they align determines what kind of eclipse we experience.

Blood Moon Eclipses are incredibly powerful cosmic events.

A blood moon occurs during a total lunar eclipse, which takes place when Earth lines up perfectly between the Moon and the Sun. This blocks most light from reaching the Moon except at the edges of Earth’s atmosphere. The light reflecting off the moon’s surface is the remaining red light, creating a beautiful red-orange glow instead of the silvery glow we’re used to seeing.

Eclipses are recognised as a portal for growth and can rapidly set things into motion. They have a way of putting us exactly where we are meant to be.

We are constantly changing, evolving and growing – during the eclipse this happens at a faster pace, and seems to amplify our experiences. Sometimes known as upgrades, uplevels or ascension. It can be a highly transformative time.

A time to possibly consider how you navigate change and transition. There is often a push pull feeling from what feels familiar to that which is still unknown.

A blood moon eclipse is powerful opportunity for personal reflection and self-awareness. It invites us to glance inwards and consider what needs to be released to move forward. Especially connected to the (Virgo) themes of overthinking, perfectionism and self-criticism.

Instead we are asked to meet ourselves with compassion and tenderness.

Each Eclipse season offers us fleeting moments of darkness from which all can be created, a void or a blank canvass from which new life pours forth. A time to transcend from the old and to really rise up.

A spiritual awakening and an opportunity for personal growth.

Think of this lunar eclipse as the fertile soil from which all can be created.

We are being given the opportunity from the cosmic skies to begin a different chapter, to turn the page.

So try to step into the new and unknown with an open, undefended and unobstructed heart.

Do get out in nature as much as you can, especially in woodlands or by running water streams/rivers

Connect with animals, they will be feeling this too

Earth and Ground, Earth and Ground again 😊

Meditate

Crystals I would recommend to keep close by: red jasper, moonstone, smoky quartz, hematite, clear quartz.

A Little Affirmation:

‘I choose to step through this blood moon eclipse portal of rebirth with a courageous, fearless and open heart, as I welcome new miracles and new beginnings into my life.

With 2 feet grounded, my face towards the sky and palms wide open, I am open to feeling inspired and excited about the wonderful opportunities coming my way.

I establish my divine presence here on Earth. And so it is’.

I have had the lease in this beautiful building for over 4 years - and have recently signed a contract until 2029 eeek.

As you’ll know if you have attended any of the past events over the last 15 years - all of the courses and workshops are shared with heaps of love and heartfelt enthusiasm.

You will be invited into a welcoming, friendly and nurturing space to deepen and develop your spiritual practice. To focus on You and your wellbeing.

A big thank you to Ware Town Council for kindly reaching out and inviting me to run the ‘Better Sleep, Better You’ events at Ware Priory since the beginning of January. These sessions have been an absolute joy to share.

I have met so many lovely, lovely people and it has been truly heart warming to hear how the mindfulness exercises have made a big difference to their sleep and overall wellbeing.

The council have asked me to hold future sessions throughout the year (exciting) so I will be back at Ware Priory in April for a ‘Compassionate Mindfulness’ event and lots of other different offerings during 2026.

See you later Wood Snake - thank you for the lessons, the shedding, and the wisdom along the way.

If things have felt a little sticky over the last couple of months, you are not alone. The end of a 9 year cycle may linger, the final layers that we are no longer required to carry on our life’s journey have risen up to the surface to be cleared. Either intentionally or unintentionally, knowingly or unknowingly.

Anyway enough about the old as we are not moving in that direction, quite the opposite in fact.

Bring on the Fire Horse frequency (17th February) - beautifully aligned as these things always are – with the universal 1 year of 2026, the Aries ‘action’ energy which is big and strong as Neptune and Saturn enter this sign, plus the beginning of Eclipse season!

What does the Fire Horse represent? (I am sure you have seen many posts on this as collectively we can almost feel the excitement brewing):

Freedom – no longer feeling confined by your self-perceived limitations

Expanse – think big dream bigger, there is more than enough space for you to grow

Self-expression – do not be afraid to express your unique wonderful self and share your gifts into the world around you

Radical change – standing up for what you believe in for the highest/greatest good of our world

Leadership – be one of the light workers who leads the way

Fuelled by love – each step made with love is a step in the right direction.

Think clarity, courage, focus, growth, momentum, success and transformational change.

Crystals – Fire Agate, Sunstone, Citrine and Clear Quartz.

The Snake allowed us to unravel. The Horse asks us to rise.

What a privilege and honour to witness Geoff and Ann’s magnificent swan dance this morning 💜🦢 So beautiful, tears were streaming down my face 🥰 🙏🏻
It’s a touch early for mating season so I wonder if they were teaching Angel (their cygnet) the moves 😊.
That was a sacred moment for sure 🙏🏻🙏🏻💜💜
