✨ International Women’s Day Celebration ✨

It was a wonderful event celebrating International Women’s Day, recognising the incredible women who make such a difference in our communities.

A special moment for Tam, who was invited to attend and be recognised for the dedication, care and support she gives through her work. It was fantastic to see her being celebrated alongside so many inspiring women.

Thank you to the organisers for putting together such a meaningful event and for highlighting the important work being done every day.

Celebrating Tam at an International Women’s Day Event

Purbeck Personal Assistants were proud to see one of their valued team members recognised at a special local event celebrating International Women’s Day.

Tam attended A Celebration of Purbeck Women, held at The Studio at The Mowlem on Sunday 8th March. The event brought together inspiring women from across the Purbeck area to recognise their achievements and contributions within the community.

Tam joined Purbeck Personal Assistants in October 2023 and quickly became an important part of the team. With over 20 years of experience in care, she brings a wealth of knowledge, compassion, and professionalism to her role as Senior Carer.

Her dedication to clients is clear in the proactive approach she takes every day. Tam plays a key role in ensuring clients receive their prescriptions on time and is widely recognised within the team as the go to person for advice on skin conditions and specialist care needs.

Tam is also continuing to develop professionally and has recently started a Level 5 Apprenticeship in Leadership and Management in Health and Social Care. Through this, she is becoming increasingly involved in care planning and supporting the supervision and development of staff.

Being invited to attend the International Women’s Day event is a reflection of the difference Tam makes both within the organisation and to the people she supports.

Purbeck Personal Assistants said they are incredibly proud of Tam and grateful to have such a dedicated and experienced professional as part of the team.

Celebrating women like Tam highlights the vital role carers play in supporting individuals and families across the community every single day.

Happy to share awareness of Lewy Body dementia as we have supported clients with this diagnosis

We are doing things a little bit differently this year.

To start our 20th anniversary off as we mean to go on, we have taken the big decision to move Lewy Body Awareness Week - previously Dotty Days - to bring it in line with World Lewy Body Day on Wednesday, 28 January.

From 2026 onwards, the last week in January will be Lewy Body Awareness Week to unite with our colleagues around the world in shining a light on the global issue of rising Lewy body dementia rates.

One of the best ways we can improve the chances of accurate diagnosis, treatment and care for people with Lewy body dementia is by raising awareness. Next week, please help us by sharing our LBAW messages with your friends, family and followers.

Together we can ensure more people recognise the signs, seek help sooner and get the support they deserve. 💙

We are seeking Kind and Caring individuals to join our team of Carers, mainly in Swanage but also in Langton, Harmans Cross and Corfe Castle to provide assistance to vulnerable individuals to enable them to remain living independently in their own home.

We predominantly need carers who can work early mornings, evenings and weekends, Car drivers are preferred due to the scattered location of our clients across the Purbecks.

Pay rates start from £12.50 per hour with increased rates for experienced and qualified carers. Mileage is also paid at 35p per mile. We have a variety of contracts on offer, including guaranteed hours, self employed and bank contracts, as well as live in care vacancies.
