Don't panic, the chances your baby has any fear over such things as the cot, bath, or bedtime in general is highly unlikely.
I hear this a lot from families with many now doing baths in the morning to avoid the meltdowns.... who wants that?
This is a sign that you have a FOMO baby, and if this is the case they learn that when the routine starts that bedtime is coming.
If you have a decent routine, then your little one will know what's coming and start to kick off when they even see the bath.
This is more likely a sign that they are NOT READY TO GO TO BED! FOMO babies and toddlers do not want to leave the party early, so the only way they can express their dismay over this is with tears.
We as parents read these tears as fear, when actually they are just expressing how much they do not want to go to bed yet.
The best way to overcome this is to stretch that awake time before bed, or even reduce daytime sleep. This then releases more adenosine (sleep pressure), which reduces the tears and protest and you will find the battle a lot easier to manage.
You know where I am folks x
