Not only that, but we achieved Outstanding in FOUR out of five categories, going well beyond what's required for an overall Outstanding rating. This achievement places us among a select group of care providers nationally, and we couldn't be prouder of our amazing team.

CEO of the Homecare Association Dr Jane Townson OBE recently met with two of our Northern Ireland owners.

Lynn Elliot runs Home Instead - Down & Lisburn, Ards & North Down. She and registered care manager Priscilla Noble were delighted to meet with Jane and introduce her to two of their clients. Stanley and Irene highlighted the benefits of living independently in later life; Jane could certainly see their happiness shine through.

Roger McLaughlin runs Home Instead Belfast, Ballymena & County Antrim. He also met Jane and outlined the most pressing issues facing the home care sector.

A pleasure to showcase the hard work of our Care Professionals and the impact of home care in Northern Ireland.

The start of a new year is the perfect time to tackle those crucial long-term planning tasks. Securing a Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA) is one of the most vital steps you can take to protect your loved one💚

What is an LPA? It is a legal document that grants someone the authority to make decisions on your loved one’s behalf if they ever lose the ability to do so themselves.

Why Planning Now is Essential for 2026:

- Health & Care: Ensures medical decisions and care choices reflect their wishes.
- Financial Security: Protects their bank accounts, property, and assets.
-Avoids Crisis: Arranging it early (while they are mentally capable) is crucial. Delaying until a crisis forces costly, stressful court intervention (Deputyship).

Our ✨ Care Professional of the Year ✨ has been announced!

Congratulations to Gail Colby from Home Instead - Norwich.

Gail has done more than support older people at home. Running local Companionship Cafes, she helps strengthen the community by bringing older people and their families together. She's a fantastic support to her fellow Care Professionals, even delivering cooking sessions to help them confidently prepare meals for clients.

Well done to our finalists, Samantha Bray from Home Instead Stockport - Home Care & Live-in Care and Molly Maskell from Home Instead Weston super Mare, Clevedon & Burnham on Sea. Since taking up their roles, their commitment to providing quality home care has never wavered.

They were treated to afternoon tea at London's St Pancras Hotel, with Dr Jane Townson OBE, CEO of the Homecare Association joining them.

Well done to all three of these shining Home Instead stars.
