Happy Easter!!

Just a quick heads up that availability over the next couple of weeks is extremely limited.

A couple of bank holidays… and my birthday (which I still believe should be a national holiday) have tightened things up a bit.

As always, I’m available for emergencies... actual emergencies (think infections needing antibiotics or suspected fractures), not that one slightly long toenail you’ve been meaning to sort for 6 months.

If you can’t find anything suitable in the online diary, feel free to drop me a text or give me a call and I’ll always do my best to fit you in where possible.

This lady came to me the same way a lot of people do…

Quite embarrassed.
A bit ashamed.
And hiding a chronic fungal nail infection.

In this case, she’d had it for around 20 years +

Within about 20 minutes however, we’d already made a big difference.

I aggressively reduced the nails... you cant treat a deep seated infection that you cant access.
This is why a lot of topical treatments fail. Akin to throwing a gr***de at Mount Eversest.

I then treated with high-powered Class 4 laser therapy which permeates the whole nail plate and nail bed destroying fungal tissues.

I immediately started her on a topical with very high levels of urea. This is the first topical application we use to soften and lift the fungal tissue so we can fully debride it at follow-up in three weeks time.

Because of how advanced this one is, I’ll also be liaising with her GP. A short course of oral medication alongside ongoing treatment and we'll hit flipflops by Summer.

I see this sort of thing all the time, so honestly.... there’s nothing to be embarrassed about.

If anything, the only mistake people make is leaving it too long.

No matter how long you’ve had it, the next best time to start treatment is ALWAYS now.

Same gent trying to expand my waistline yesterday is now attempting to inflate my head 😆

I appreciate reviews like this almost as much as I enjoy helping people realise they’re not made of glass.

One thing I see far too often in healthcare is patients being written off with phrases like “those are the worst knees I’ve ever seen.”
Helpful? Not really.
Accurate? Debatable.
Confidence-destroying? Absolutely.

A better approach is meeting people where they’re at.

Because almost everyone has an entry point.
Somewhere we can reduce sensitivity, improve capacity, and start building strength.

If you’re injured and in pain remember the following;

1) Strength is never a weakness.
2) Motion is lotion.
3) You can’t fire a cannon off of a canoe.

Get to work getting better 💪

Did You Know? 🧠👣

Every single step you take is controlled by an invisible line running through your heel formed by two bones creating the subtalar joint.

The individual shape of these bones will determine where the seesaw sits for YOU.

As we spend our lives on a 90 degree plane this determines whether our foot will be 'flatter' or 'archy'.

Not because something is wrong…
but because that’s just how YOU are built.

No two axes are the same.
No two feet behave the same.

Which is exactly why:

❌ Generic insoles often fail

And why individual assessment matters.

Your foot isn’t faulty.

When people say they’ve “tried everything”…

Pain is usually a sign you’ve drifted away from what your body is built to do.

You’re built for more.... at any age.

You dont need to run Marathons or jump hurdles.
