Remembrance Sunday
Today we pause to remember the courage, sacrifice, and service of those who have given so much — in the past and today.

A moment of stillness can be a powerful way to honour them and reflect on what peace means to each of us.

We will remember them. 🌹

What would make next week feel calmer?
Take a quiet moment to think it through — or jot it down.
Sometimes just noticing what you need is the first step to creating it.

Grounding Technique: The Hand Trace
When your mind starts to race, take a moment to pause and reconnect with your breath.

Hold out one hand.
👉 Slowly trace up each finger as you breathe in.
👇 Trace down as you breathe out.

Repeat for five deep breaths — one calm minute to steady your thoughts and ease tension.
It’s a simple grounding exercise you can do anywhere, anytime you need a moment of calm.

Save this for when you need it.

Bonfire Night can feel loud and a little overwhelming — for kids and grown-ups.
Try Calm Like a Turtle 🐢💛

When you hear a big bang or loud noise:
🐢 Tuck your knees in like a turtle going into its shell
🌬️ Breathe in + think of the colour blue (cool, calm)
🌬️ Breathe out + think of the colour red (release, soften)

Stay tucked as long as you need — safe in your shell.
Then when you're ready, lift your head and say:

✨ I am calm
✨ I am safe

This can be used for yourself or with your little one 🫶
A gentle way to regulate big sounds + big feelings tonight 💥➡️💛

💙 Stress Isn’t Weakness

Stress is not a character flaw, a lack of effort, or a sign you're "not coping."
It’s your nervous system signalling that something needs attention.

When demands build up — work, family, emotions, expectations — your brain and body shift into protection mode. That can look like:

🧠 Difficulty concentrating
💤 Feeling tired or drained
📈 Racing thoughts or irritability
💔 Feeling overwhelmed or flat

These aren’t failures — they’re warning signs, not weaknesses.
Listening to them is strength.

✨ Give yourself permission to pause.
✨ Rest isn't avoidance — it’s repair.
✨ Slowing down protects you from burnout, not falling behind.

Be gentle with yourself. Your body is doing its best to keep you safe.
