Stinging or burning when you pass urine?
It could be a urinary tract infection (UTI), also known as cystitis. UTIs are common in both women and men, and women under 65 can now access antibiotics directly from the pharmacy without needing to see a GP.
If symptoms keep coming back or don’t fully clear, it’s important to have a proper assessment with your GP. For some women, prevention may include hormone treatments or post-coital (after s*x) antibiotics.
If you’d like more time to talk through your symptoms and get the right support, our experienced GPs are here to help.
