The tricky part is that the symptoms can be very similar to those of benign prostate disease, something most men experience as they get older.

Most breast cancers are found by you, not your doctor. That’s why it’s so important to regularly check your breasts and know what’s normal for you.

Start by looking, with arms by your side and raised above your head. Look for changes in size, shape, texture to both your breast and ni***es.

Then feel, using the flat part of your three fingers in a circular motion. Make sure you check the whole breast, including up toward your shoulder (the “tail” of the breast) and don’t forget your armpits.

If you ever find a lump or notice something unusual, don’t wait. See your GP or pop in to see us, we can examine you and refer through both NHS and private routes.

Being breast aware can save lives. 💗

We know lots of people are battling colds right now 🤧 but do you really need antibiotics?

In most cases, no. Colds are caused by viruses and antibiotics don’t work on viral infections.

If you have an underlying health condition or your symptoms are more severe, it’s always best to check in with your GP. And remember, a cough that lasts more than 3 weeks should be assessed.

Reducing unnecessary antibiotic use is important for tackling future resistance and keeping these medicines effective when we truly need them.
