Thank You, Ann — A True Pillar of the Community
At Medicine Clinic Pharmacies, we firmly believe that every team member plays a vital role in making our pharmacies a trusted part of the community. Today we want to shine a spotlight on someone very special — Ann, Pharmacy Counter Assistant at Boyatt Pharmacy.
Ann has been working in pharmacy since she was 16 years old. She began her journey at Falkland Pharmacy, and when Boyatt opened nearly 40 years ago, she moved across — and she’s been there ever since. Over the decades, she has become a cornerstone of the local community, offering not just professional expertise, but heart and consistency.
Her exceptional retail counter skills, deep knowledge of symptoms, and empathetic care have helped countless patients. She is loved by the community — a quiet but mighty presence who cares, listens and supports. For many, she is more than a pharmacy assistant: she’s a confidant, a trusted advisor, a friendly face.
This moment is particularly meaningful as we celebrate the success of the Pharmacy First scheme in our region. Across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight, more than 10,000 patients each month now choose their community pharmacy as their first port of call for minor illnesses — helping people access timely care and relieving pressure on GP services. 
We are proud to say that people like Ann are the foundation of that success. In an era of big change and evolving services, she remains a steadfast constant — a true diamond in the Medicine Clinic crown.
