This afternoon our Funeral Director Scott supported one of our Sister branches, Phillips Funeral Service in Corby.

Scott was joined by Connor, Craig, Mark and Nate, all of whom not only looked the part but also maintained fantastic levels of professionalism despite the far from ideal weather conditions.

As the service drew to a close Scott joined his good friend and today's celebrant Kate Reneerkens in leading a 120 strong congregation in the Macarena, a first for them both.

At 11:00 this morning our staff will stop to pause for a 2 minute silence.

This small symbolic gesture is our collective act of acknowledgement, show of respect and expression of deep gratitude to those brave men and women who sadly made the ultimate sacrifice in defence of our country.

The thoughts of all of us at Bruce Carter & Son Funeral Directors are with the thousands of Men and Women who paid the ultimate sacrifice in the service of their country.

We also think of those animals who went to war and did not return as well as those Soldiers, Sailors, Airman and Airwoman who returned but were never the same having seen and experienced the horrors of war.

This evening we have joined thousands of household's and other organisation's in lighting a candle as part of the 2025 Wave Of Light.

As Baby Loss Awareness week draws to a close this flame, along with the many others across not only this country but the world commemorates all of those babies who sadly passed away far too soon.

Each and every baby being much-loved and much-missed. Our thoughts are with all of the families who have sadly been affected by baby loss.
