I have created a webpage mobile friendly tracking app specifically for the Tourette’s ADHD and ASD community it’s currently completely free and would love to hear some feedback on anything that could be added or changed and what your views are I designed it specifically to include Tourette’s symptom tracking as I found this is something that doesn’t seem to exist looking forward to hearing peoples thoughts

Mindful Spectrum - Mind Track

A supportive app designed for individuals with autism, Tourette’s, and ADHD. Track daily well-being, manage hyperactivity, meltdowns, shutdowns, anxiety, depression, and tic severity. Engage in mindfulness activities and sensory games designed for focus and calm.

As I’m currently on leave and through seeing another professional passion for sharing poetry on their journey to becoming a mental health professional I felt it was a really unique way to process, reflect and also share how even as counsellors we all experience our own journeys through both difficult and positive times and how it shapes us to become who we are today ☺️

“From the Cracks, I Grew”

I learned to care when I was small,
to lift, to love, to give my all.
At five, a carer through and through—
my mother’s strength became my view.

When loss arrived before my prime,
grief marked my heart, but so did time.
I learned that healing has no race,
just quiet steps toward gentle grace.

Autism paints my world so clear,
in shades that others may not hear.
ADHD sparks fire inside—
a restless light I will not hide.

Tourette’s beats out its steady song,
a rhythm proving I belong.
And pain and fatigue have taught me this:
there’s courage woven into bliss.

Though Ehlers-Danlos shapes my pace,
my wheels have brought me strength and grace.
They’ve carried me through joy and pain—
a life rebuilt, again, again.

Through every storm that I’ve been through,
I’ve found what empathy can do.
From struggle’s soil, compassion grew—
and now I walk this path with you.

To hold a space where hearts can mend,
to listen deeply, soul to friend—
this is my calling, tried and true:
from every crack, I bloomed anew.

🌿 Prioritizing Self-Care: A Daily Habit, Not a Luxury 🌿
In a world that’s always pushing us to do more, be more, and hustle harder, taking time for yourself can feel like a guilty pleasure. But the truth is, self-care isn't selfish — it's essential.
Whether you're managing stress, preventing burnout, or simply trying to feel more balanced, daily self-care is key to supporting both your mental and physical wellbeing. Here's how to make it a part of your everyday life:
✨ Start Small, Stay Consistent
Self-care doesn't need to be extravagant. A short morning stretch, a quiet cup of tea, or five minutes of mindful breathing can make a real difference. What matters most is consistency, not perfection.
🧠 Check in with Your Mind
Journal your thoughts. Practice gratitude. Talk to a friend. Mental health thrives when you give yourself permission to pause and process. Make space each day to check in with how you're really feeling.
🏃‍♀️ Move Your Body in a Way That Feels Good
Exercise doesn’t have to mean the gym. A walk in nature, dancing in your room, or a yoga flow can help release tension and lift your mood. Your body is designed to move — honor it.
😴 Protect Your Energy
Say no to things that drain you. Prioritize rest. Sleep, boundaries, and downtime aren’t signs of weakness — they’re acts of self-respect.
🍎 Fuel Yourself with Care
Nourish your body with food that energizes you, not depletes you. Drink water. Eat colorful meals. Listen to what your body needs and respond with kindness.
💬 Ask for Help When You Need It
Taking care of yourself also means knowing when to reach out. Whether it’s a friend, therapist, or support group, connection is powerful medicine.
Remember: Self-care is not a destination. It’s a daily practice. You deserve to feel well — in mind, body, and spirit.
What’s one small act of self-care you can commit to today?

I like this as an alternate way to look at neurodivergent neurodiversity less of a medicalised approach seeing symptoms rather then focusing solely on specific diagnosis as we all know there is so much overlap it’s best to look at the individual needs of the people we work with

This autism awareness day I feel Autism Acceptance Day is a better way of putting it to encourage society to move beyond mere awareness of autism and instead work towards true acceptance, inclusion and appreciation of autistic individuals. Rather than simply acknowledging that autism exists, this day invites us to develop a deeper understanding of what it’s like to experience the world as an autistic person. It’s a time to celebrate the unique strengths, talents and perspectives that autistic people bring, while also increasing support and accommodations for the challenges they face. Autism Acceptance Day reminds us to make our communities more inclusive and welcoming for people across the autism spectrum. By focusing on acceptance, we can help create a society where autistic individuals are empowered to thrive and meaningfully participate without having to mask their true selves. So let’s use this opportunity to listen to autistic voices, educate ourselves about neurodiversity, and take concrete steps to foster genuine acceptance and understanding. Together, we can build a world that fully embraces and includes the autistic community.

🌟✨what does Neurodivergent mean to you ? ✨🌟

What Being Neurodivergent Means to Me;
Being neurodivergent is a beautifully intricate journey that has shaped my perspective in ways I never could have imagined. 🌍💖 Don’t get me wrong Living with autism, ADHD, Dyslexia and Tourette's has presented its challenges—navigating social situations, managing sensory overload, and sometimes feeling out of sync with the world around me. But these "difficulties" have also opened doors to extraordinary insights and creativity and has led me to support others in a way I wish I had growing up in this world of uncertainty 🎨🧠
✨ I experience the world through a unique lens—small details catch my attention, ideas flow in vibrant colors, and emotions hit deeper than I can articulate. It allows me to see beauty where others might overlook it.

💜 The greatest gift of being neurodivergent? The sense of community it brings. Here, I find my tribe—people who understand, accept, and celebrate each other’s quirks. Together, we thrive, not just in spite of our differences but because of them!
So today, I embrace my neurodiversity unapologetically. I invite you to join me in this celebration of uniqueness and togetherness! 🤝💖

As a counsellor, my goal is to support you in every way possible, meeting you where you are on your journey. 🌱 Whether it’s through words, written communication, AAC or PECS, silence, body language, or creative expression, I know basic SSE/BSL but would be able to adapt our sessions through use of captions and written if needed I won’t try to claim I could work with you fluently in BSL but I am deaf aware and knowledgeable and can point you in the right connection if you do need a fluent BSL counsellor and I’m unable to support your communication needs I know others who can

I understand that communication comes in many forms. Together, we’ll create a space where you can express yourself in the way that feels most comfortable and healing for you. 💬💖 Let’s work together to navigate your path toward growth and well-being.

Today marks Young Carers Action Day, an annual awareness day for young and young adult carers. This theme for this year is ‘Give me a Break’ and focuses on the importance of rest and respite for young carers.
from my personal experience of being a young carer for my mum from the age of 5-16/17 years old when my mum sadly passed away. I was lucky for the most part there where some teachers who where supportive and understanding some not so much. I had friends who thought of my mum as there own but also had friends I didn’t think I could tell it can feel isolating but also rewarding and filled with love.
There is so much more awareness and support now be confident in asking for help when you need it being a carer isn’t something to hide you are doing an incredible thing.

What can you do to support young carers day?
According to Carers First there are 800,000 young carers in the UK aged 5-17 caring for an adult or a family member in the UK. And one in three of those young carers will struggle with their mental health.
If you would like to support young carers you can:
1. Encourage your local council, schools or MP to sign the Young Carers Covenant. You can find more details on the Carers Trust website.
2. Consider donating or supporting to a charity that supports young carers. Examples include the Carers Trust, Carers First, Northamptonshire Carers, and the Young Carers Alliance. There are also local groups that support carers that you can search for online.
