A group of Wellington Rotarians and friends travelled 60 miles to Midsummer Norton recently to visit and assist with packing Water Survival Boxes.
Water Survival Boxes is a Rotary Humanitarian Aid project, based in Somerset, providing a rapid response for families who have no access to safe drinking water and have also lost their homes and possessions.
Management of the project and the practical work involved is all done by volunteers from Rotary, Inner Wheel, schools and local community groups.

As part of it's on going support, the Rotary Club of Wellington have donated a further £500 to SURE who are an independent local charity, with a simple mission: to support the NHS in Taunton so that local people across Somerset can access the best possible cancer diagnosis and treatment through services at Musgrove's Beacon centre

On Monday, Claire, the Community Engagement Coordinator, was invited to attend the monthly Wellington Rotary lunch at the beautiful The Beambridge Inn. She had the pleasure of meeting members of Wellington Rotary and speaking about the charity, the Wellington Dementia Inclusive initiative, and our exciting upcoming projects.
Claire’s visit highlighted the importance of community collaboration in supporting those living with dementia. By working together, we can build a stronger, more inclusive Wellington. Through partnership, they can raise both funds and awareness— and by making meaningful connections, they can bring our community even closer together.
