This year was about creating more inclusive spaces, opportunities and experiences. Here’s our SASP 2025 disability and inclusion roundup 🥳💙

👥Our team grew from 3 staff members to 5

🎤Our annual PE and Sport Conference was focused on 'the difference inclusion can make', where Dan Smith from Neurodiverse Sport delivered an inspiring presentation about how to best support neurodivergent young people in PE and school sport.

💪40 adults graduated from our Fit for Work programme, helping them to build their physical stamina, functional fitness and communication skills in preparation for the workplace.

🛼We trialled new activities during the summer holidays with Rock Up Weston-super-Mare, Calvert Devon and Adventure Therapy as part of our Get Active Together inclusive holiday activity programme, in addition to offering our usual family favourites with Channel Adventure, Eleven Roller Disco and Nova Sports!

🥌 Ashill Inclusive adult group started in September seeing a regular attendance of 15-17 participants weekly. Yeovil Inclusive adult group moved to a more central location and saw regular attendance level increase.

🕺438 young people attended our Inclusive School Games events, enabling them to come offsite and represent their school in a variety of activities, including dance, ten pin bowling and athletics.

🙌We launched our Move to Include pilot for Children and Young People with 7 accessing the program as well supporting 12 adults into community sports clubs, activity groups and offered sign posting opportunities.

💭We hosted our first Disability Network Event, where partners from across Somerset came together to connect, share ideas and explore how we can better support people with disabilities to be more physically active.

🏫We visited 10 schools as part of the Somerset Parent Carer Forum's PINS project, offering them guidance and recommendations about how to support their neurodivergent students during lunchtimes.

🔥We have been working on our new inclusive Warm Welcome sessions for families starting in the new year. (More information on our Website).

Plus so much more!
