I have many lovely clients and it is an absolutely privilege to be part of their wellbeing journey. This particular client has been a dream to work with because she really invested in acupuncture to support her symptoms and desire for a natural conception. The important observation I would like to share about this case is this is a perfect example of how acupuncture can help with fertility but it also demonstrates that’s it’s not a ‘quick fix’. Time, patience and self care are a major part of the journey. I’m noticing an influx of young women who have been on long term contraception with little or no bleeds who are now dealing with some challenging symptoms as they wait for their cycle to return to its natural rhythm. Acupuncture is a beautiful, non invasive therapy that can make a HUGE difference to your cycle. But don’t take my word for it. “ I came to Jo back in January with chronic, debilitating headaches, and fertility support after trying for 5 months, with no success, after 8 years on the contraceptive pill (No bleeds). My cycles, although regular, were not ‘right’ and I struggled with daily headaches, which at times prevented me from working. After three treatments with Jo, I was pretty much headache free! Jo then focussed on improving my menstrual cycle, to which she did absolute wonders! I noticed changes each month. My last 3 cycles were so much healthier than this time a year ago, or even six months ago! And now, a full year after starting my TTC (trying to conceive) journey, I am around 6 weeks pregnant!
