I posted this seed and nut loaf on my stories this morning and have had so many people messaging me asking for the recipe so I’ll add the link at the end of this post for you.

It’s from and is super easy to make. Lots of you have said you’re going to make it with your children as a half term activity which sounds like a great idea❤️❤️

I know you may not be able to cut and paste the link so if it’s easier then just google “new roots life changing loaf”

Hope you enjoy it!❤️❤️

Just made this delicious harissa beans with baked eggs which is a recipe from 👏🏻

It makes a perfect breakfast, brunch, lunch or dinner❤️ and with basically only 5 ingredients, one pot and no chopping it’s my type of cooking!🥰😂 It was SO quick and easy to make - definitely try this one as I’m sure you’ll love it!❤️❤️

I used butter beans but you can use any type of beans as it’s one of those recipes where you can be quite flexible with the ingredients👍🏻

My husband went out this morning to get our daughter's phone fixed and came back with a dozen Krispy Kremes (looks like he had three for his breakfast!) 🍩🍩🍩 and it made me realise just how much my thinking around food has changed.

I used to love Krispy Kreme doughnuts and I mean L-O-V-E them!!!😍🤤 Especially the original ones like these. I remember the first time I had one. They had just opened up in Harrods and had the factory there where could watch them being made and you could buy them fresh off the line. I thought that sugary doughnut smell that filled the air was the most divine heavenly thing EVER and when I bit into that warm sweet fluffy dough I literally felt like I was getting high!

Fast forward to this morning and aside from my initial disappointment when I realised that the white box my husband was holding was not a new Apple iPad for me 🤨🙄😤 but a box of Krispy Kremes, my main reaction was “urgh yuck!🤢🤮” These days Krispy Kremes hold no interest for me. I see them for what they are - a hyperpalatable combination of sugar and fat devoid of nutrition and designed to be addictive. I have zero desire to eat one and chances are they’ll end up in the bin.

What’s most interesting though is that there was a split second moment when my brain scrambled - the fond memory of how much I used to enjoy Krispy Kremes made me think for a split second that maybe I wanted to eat one. But it was easy not to pay any attention to that thought - that it didn’t mean anything, it was just a short circuit of some old wiring in my brain🧠

It’s super powerful when you can notice your brain short circuiting like this as it completely changes the way you respond to cravings and urges to eat🙌🏻❤️

Love this porridge and it’s the perfect breakfast now the mornings are getting colder❄️

I make mine with oats, water and almond milk then top it with milled sunflower and pumpkin seeds, chopped prunes, bee pollen and toasted pecans. Such a delicious warming start to the day🥰

Now off to walk the dog!🐶🐾

I’ve had a lot of people asking me for my healthy crumble recipe so here it is albeit very approximate as I tend to just cook by sight! Feel free to adapt/improve as you wish!

For the filling:
2 x cooking / Bramley apples roughly peeled (I like leaving a bit of the peel on for the fibre), core removed and chopped. You could use regular apples, they’re just a bit sweeter
2 x pears, roughly peeled, core removed and chopped
Approx 10-15 blackberries (fresh or frozen)
About 0.5-1 teaspoon of cinnamon powder

Place the apple, pear and blackberries (if frozen) in a saucepan and sprinkle the cinnamon over. Add a splash of water and warm over a medium heat stirring occasionally until the fruit has started to soften. Remove from the heat and add to the dish - add blackberries at this point if using fresh ones.

For the topping:
100g oats (rolled or giant)
1.5-2 tbsp coconut oil
1.5-2 tbsp maple syrup
Approx 1 tsp of cinnamon powder

Warm the coconut oil in a saucepan (can use the same pan that you just used for the fruit) until melted. Add the oats, maple syrup and cinnamon and stir until all the ingredients are combined then spread over the fruit.

Bake in the oven on 180 C until topping has gone a golden brown - about 15-20 mins. Serve warm with big dollop of Greek yogurt on the side 🥰
