- March 16th – 20th, 2026

This week is an opportunity for organisations, schools and communities, to move beyond awareness and take practical steps toward inclusion 👇

What can we do?

✅ Build understanding of neurodiversity (e.g. autism, ADHD, dyslexia, dyspraxia, and other neurological variations)
✅ Review policies and environments to ensure they support different working styles
✅ Encourage open, stigma-free conversations
✅ Recognise and value diverse strengths and perspectives
✅ Share best practices to create lasting change

Creating a environment not only supports individuals, it strengthens teams. 💙

Every year, World Sleep Day invites us to pause, reflect, and reset our relationship with rest.

In 2026, it falls on Friday, 13 March, aligning with the Friday before the Spring Equinox, symbolic of renewal and balance. This year’s theme, “Sleep Well, Live Better,” captures a truth we often forget: good sleep isn’t a luxury, it’s the foundation of our physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing.

🌙 Why Sleep Matters More Than Ever

Sleep affects every system in our body. From cognitive performance to emotional resilience, immunity to heart health, quality sleep is vital for thriving, not just surviving. As highlighted by global health organisations:

💤Sleep problems affect up to 45% of the world’s population, making it a significant public‑health consideration.

💤Poor sleep is linked to chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, and cardiovascular disease.

💤Lack of sleep can lead to reduced concentration, mood changes, and weakened immunity.

raises awareness of these issues and encourages individuals and communities to prioritise healthy sleep as a pillar of wellbeing.

Action Day - This year’s theme is “Fair Futures for Young Carers.” 💙

It’s about making sure that young carers have the same opportunities as their peers to learn, grow and thrive. It also shines a light on the incredible children and young people who help care for a family member every day, while reminding us that caring should never become a barrier to their education, wellbeing, or future opportunities.

Many young carers balance schoolwork with caring responsibilities at home. This can affect attendance, concentration and their ability to fully take part in school life. For some, managing both roles can make it harder to progress into further education, training or employment.

✨ That’s why it’s so important that we recognise young carers and put the right support in place. Together, we can ensure every young carer has the opportunity to learn, grow, and look ahead to the future with confidence.
