Idle hands craft I am a stay at home momma, more house bound than would like due to disability and have therefore found a love of crochet which I want to share.

I started to give me something to do on the days I'm stuck on the sofa and have found a real love for the craft and want to share it with the world.

This year has been full of surprises, challenges and everyone has had to make changes. Here at Idle hands I am no different. Family commitments, changes in how things can be safely sold and social distancing has made it very difficult to continue Idle hands in the same way as before. So I am embarking on a new adventure. Due to current guidelines and legalisation's I do not have the time to commit to all the safety testing required to sell completed items any longer and am therefore moving into pattern design. So please bear with me whilst we change around the page and watch this space as we move forward with this new adventure. Thank you for your continued support.

This was a labour of love and gosh was it a labour (between other projects and the massive heatwave of summer 2018 taking around 12 months to complete).
This beauty measures in at a little over 7 ft X 7 ft and is super soft and super heavy, making it perfect for the cold nights headed our way but the very best thing about it is.......it is mine, the first thing in three years I have made for myself that I have not allowed anyone else to claim.

Sister and me had an outing to watch the latest toystory a few weeks ago and we both fell in love with forky. However other than a plastic version I couldn't buy him anywhere, out comes the hook and yarn and this guy was born.
