Got a nice review from a recent client (lady in her early 70s) today. As it happened we didn't work together long - once we'd worked out a management plan for sleeping well and maintaining good boundaries around this as well as helping her to prioritise her own needs over those of others (somewhat of a 'people pleaser'...), her anxiety reduced dramatically. Just goes to demonstrate the importance of the basics for good mental health and is why I always assess a potential client's whole life (diet, exercise, relaxation, hobbies social time, relationships etc) first before working holistically with them. Therapy can't work in isolation if the basics aren't there.
