EASTER HOLIDAY FOREST SCHOOL - booking now open!

Join us in the glorious woodland in Barrow near Whalley, to connect in community and with nature.

Held by myself, an experienced level 3 forest school leader and genuine lover of nature, DBS checked, outdoor first aid trained and fully insured for outdoor activities and holistic practice.

The intention for this group is for like minded folk who want to meet up, for their children to fully experience the outdoors and have the opportunity to try new skills whilst connecting with other children of diverse ages.

We will work with the season with discussion and nature crafts, foraging and experiencing outdoor cooking and other bushcraft skills, be part of nature and feel connected as we sit round the campfire together or cosy in the yurt.

All activities are invitations so you can feel free to use this time to simply be in nature.

For my planning and resourcing advanced booking is necessary through the link provided, this link also allows you to complete a waiver and inform me of allergies or concerns.

I will sculpt activities that are accessible regardless of age and I am keeping the age bracket broad to help those with several children of various ages, up to 12 years old.

Directions to the site are pinned to the top of Facebook profile. Please note that parking is on the main road or on the adjacent housing estate and access to the woodland is across a field so please consider this regarding footwear and buggies.

To the Worm Moon / Crow Moon / Full Blood Worm Moon.....To the Moon ✊ some of you may have been up honouring early this morning hoping to catch a glimpse of the eclipse?

Let's be there together tonight, under the Moon to feel that energy, to welcome in the intention of finding balance between the mystic and the mundane. To make an offering of our drums and awareness for a moment, to the land, the ancestors and Grandmother Moon.

Come exactly as you are, all is welcome.

19:30 - car park of the singing ringing tree, to walk up together and begin for 8 when I will call out 3 drum beats to connect in with all other full Moon drummers across the county. ⭕ 🌀

This is a space to breathe, release, reset, and step into the new season with clarity and intention.

The sessions are £5 (plus small booking fee) children under 2 years old with a family with another full paying child are free, the price includes a free place for accompanying adult, snacks, drinks for all and any resources for the session. You can block book for all sessions in March for a discount of 10% There are two sessions running 12-1 and 1-2 your welcome to book for one of both and stay for the duration.

I will sculpt activities that are accessible regardless of age and I am keeping the age bracket broad to help those with several children of various ages, so the oldest that can join this group will be 12 years old. Should there be a lot of interest for teens, then I will look to create a separate group

Loved this afternoon with you, it's quite the community we're building. So lovely to see the children eager to come back and explore their dens again and try some new things.

Not much can beat being amongst the trees, fire blazing, connecting with others.....or not...maybe just solitary swishing in a hammock...whatever you need.

Was quite an emotional Full Moon drum yesterday as I realised on the tread up there that this was our 13th moon cycle of making this ritual walk together, to this piece of land to honour the moon, the ancestors and each other.

It was a beautiful moment of gratitude, soulful drumming, joyful children and connection.

Thank you for showing up with open minds and hearts and for making it possible this month and every other month...onward
