JW Myers Monumental Masons are a York based, family firm. We specialise in hand crafted and hand carved memorials, headstones and plaques. We have a showroom based in Wheldrake, York, but for your convenience we also offer a home visit service. Our headstones and memorials can be hand designed from all types of stone including; granite, sandstone, limestone, York stone. Our services include; new headstones, headstone repairs and additional inscriptions, memorials, pet memorials, memorial plaques, stone carvings, gravestone maintenance packages and more.

Lisa and Marc have attended the Prestige Awards for 2025 and we are extremely proud and excited to say we won Memorial Specialist of the year 🏆 🥳 🎉

Lisa Myers, James’s mum, joined the family business in 2022 when we opened our Selby showroom. Since opening our Selby branch Lisa and our team have looked after over 400 local families and this award is very well deserved. I’m sure the trophy will take pride of place in the Selby showroom for all to see

Due to the ever increasing demand on our services we are looking for someone to join our workshop team.

We are a family owned and run memorials specialists based in Wheldrake with a team of 17 people spread across 6 branches and 2 workshops. We create and erect over 1000 memorials per year and the demand on our services increases each year.

If you have a good work ethic, attention to detail and wish to join one of the UK’s leading family owned and run memorial specialists, now is your opportunity

We are looking for someone to work within our workshop and join our multi award winning team. The job role will include

• Sandblasting / Lettering of memorials
• Painting / Gilding of lettering
• Applying stencils
• On site fitting around North Yorkshire
• Forklift driving
• Van driving
• Wet polishing
• Manual handling
• General yard work

All training will be given and previous experience will be of benefit but not essential. Immediate start is possible or we can hold the position until the new year for the right person.

Starting salary of £30k, paid bank holidays, 28 days holidays plus company pension.
