Due to the ever increasing demand on our services we are looking for someone to join our workshop team.

We are a family owned and run memorials specialists based in Wheldrake with a team of 17 people spread across 6 branches and 2 workshops. We create and erect over 1000 memorials per year and the demand on our services increases each year.

If you have a good work ethic, attention to detail and wish to join one of the UK’s leading family owned and run memorial specialists, now is your opportunity

We are looking for someone to work within our workshop and join our multi award winning team. The job role will include

• Sandblasting / Lettering of memorials
• Painting / Gilding of lettering
• Applying stencils
• On site fitting around North Yorkshire
• Forklift driving
• Van driving
• Wet polishing
• Manual handling
• General yard work

All training will be given and previous experience will be of benefit but not essential. Immediate start is possible or we can hold the position until the new year for the right person.

Starting salary of £30k, paid bank holidays, 28 days holidays plus company pension.

Working together with our colleagues at J W Myers Memorials Scarborough.

Having worked really close with Julie and Marie over the past number of years we had no hesitation in turning to them to create the memorials for Graham & Christine’s graves in Woodlands Cemetery.

Both Graham & Christine liked to see uniformed and consistent headstones when visiting the many churchyards and cemeteries as they did for so many years. So we decided to act upon their views and have their two stones to match the previously fitted one for their Mother, nine years ago.

A big thank you to Julie and Marie for looking after us, just as you have done for the so many families we have shared with you 🎩

A lovely day today at Warwickshire Event Centre for the NAMM Tradex.
This is a national trade event for our industry and hosted by the National Association Of Memorials Masons.

We are very proud to have attended the show and also exhibit a couple of show pieces, Ozzy Osbourne by Laura and Feathers McGraw by Ellie, the newest member of the team.

A special mention to Ellie who has only been a memorial artist for less than a year and yet her work sat well next to the UK’s finest memorial arists. Well done Ellie, Laura has taught you well and we are super proud of you 😊

Big thanks to NAMM and all the trade stands for putting on a great show, we had a fantastic time and enjoyed catching up with you all.

Every year we offer a limited number of memorials to clients free of charge based on their individual circumstances. We do this because we appreciate how important it is for a family to have a place to visit their loved one.

A memorial stone is not simply a piece of stone with writing on. It is the last thing a family can do for their loved one and a lasting tribute to the person.

When we see posts like this lovely family posted it reminds us why we do what we do every year.

Thank you to Sharon at our associated branch, Thorne Memorials for looking after the family throughout and our amazing workshop team at our head office in Wheldrake for creating and erecting this beautiful memorial.
