The Aelred Wing at St Hilda's Priory is a residential care home in the Castle Road area of Whitby, which can accommodate up to 12 residents - it has a 'Good' rating from the CQC.
Our care wing is part of St Hilda's Priory our Anglican Religious Community situated on the outskirts of Whitby in North Yorkshire. Our community of Sisters was founded in 1915, and we have had a presence here for over 100 years.
We are happy to accept residents to join us for short stay respite admissions in our care wing, The Aelred Wing which is situated on the ground floor of our Priory. We have 12 individual rooms with their own wet rooms, 4 of which we have dedicated to respite admissions from outside of our own community.
You will find our care home a quiet and restful place to stay with a Christian focus to care provision. We offer all our residents the opportunity to join the community for prayer and eucharist within our chapel supported by our chaplain Father Paul.
We do not offer activities and entertainment as our priority is the religious life. What we do offer is peace and quiet in a calm and relaxing environment with direct access to our beautiful gardens and grounds. We advocate care with a Christian focus, if this is something you are looking for, please get in touch.
