HappyHypnoBirthing

HappyHypnoBirthing HypnoBirthing can help you have a calm, comfortable and natural birth, free from fear or pain. Birthing as nature intended.

A calm, comfortable and natural birth, free from fear or pain, is within your power - HypnoBirthing can teach you a simple, yet incredibily effective, method of birthing that has been practised by women all around the world for thousands of years. Happy HypnoBirthing is a complete birth education programme which will teach your and your birth companion how you too can have a natural and peaceful birth. You will learn deep relaxation and self-hypnosis; breathing methods and body positions for the different stages of labour and birth; positive visualisations and affirmations; massage techniques; nutrition and exercise advice plus much more, to give you confidence and trust in your body and to give you and your baby the best possible chance of a natural birth. My name is Jenny Fye and I came across HypnoBirthing while pregnant with my first child. I really wanted a natural homebirth and the HypnoBirthing philosophy and techniques made perfect sense to me. I went on to have my beautiful daughter in a birth pool in our living room and, apart for a few paracetamols, I had no other pain relief or intervention. I experienced first-hand that the HypnoBirthing method and techniques truly do work and I instantly knew that I wanted to train as a Practitioner to help other women have a calm and comfortable birth too. So after putting my career as a Secondary School Teacher on hold to bring up my daughter, I am now a qualified HypnoBirthing Practitioner and hope to use my passion and belief in the method to help others achieve a peaceful and natural birth. (Certified by and affiliated with The HypnoBirthing Institute - HypnoBirthing, The Mongan Method)

So sad to hear the news that Marie Mongan has passed away. She inspired me and so many other women to prepare for a calm and positive birth and led me on the path to teach her wonderful course to others. Her memory and legacy will certainly live on

It was a quiet moment in time, no movement, no breath, as they gazed at one another through two worlds. As they eased her face into The World, they remained silent, staring at her. Forever changed! Thank you for being an amazing and intuitive Doula!

What do you see here?

Pain or Power?

What would you do if you saw a women looking like this?

Rush to her assistance? Offer an epidural?

No, you would stand back, humbled at her raw, unapologetic power and strength.

You would bow down to these goddesses whose bodies are pushed beyond all limits and still go on.

You would be inspired by their force and awed by their determination.

A woman in labour doesn’t need to be rescued, no more than the marathon runner, the triathlete or weight lifter. She needs to be prepared and supported so that she can achieve greatness. "Here’s to strong women. May we know them. May we be them. May we raise them." .

Thank you to Diana at for her 'Roaring Goddess' photo xo.

Fantastic video demonstrating how beneficial it is to be upright and active during labour and birth! Use gravity to help baby manoeuvre through the pelvis!

A few worried supporters sent us the link to a Daily Mirror article this morning, which is about baby movement. Despite it containing some accurate information, there were also elements that were completely untrue or very easy to misinterpret, including this. Please, please remember that babies don't slow down because they are getting bigger or ready for labour, a baby should remain in their normal pattern of movement up to and even during labour. If your baby's movement slows down or stops always speak to your midwife or maternity unit.
