We hear often that most clinics only offer Pregnancy Ultrasound Scans from 6 or 7 weeks onwards. This is normally an indication of whether a clinic is able to offer internal scans if one needed as at 5-6 weeks the gestational sac is very small, and can be difficult to see with an abdominal probe. At Your Baby Scan, our Sonographers are trained on internal scans and this is included as part of our CQC registration, allowing us to offer scans from 5 weeks when you have a worry to check the gestational sac location.

We often hear from young women (aged 16-18) who have struggled to find a clinic to that they can use. This is because it is a legal requirement that providers must include this specifically as part of their CQC registration, and most clinics don't have this. It is part of our registration, our staff receive additional training annuall specific to 16-18 year olds, and most importantly our team are supportive of 16-18 year olds. Pregnancy can be daunting for any woman, but we feel younger women should receive additional care and support. This is not something new for us, we have had this as part of or registration for many years, and this has been assessed as part of our CQC inspections.
