Children In Need💛

For Children In Need, we had a fantastic time playing a special Pudsey-themed game of Play Your Cards Right! Everyone got involved in the fun, using colourful Pudsey cards designed especially for the day.

Our lovely team, people living in the home and their families joined in the Children in Need fun by designing their very own Pudsey bears and decorating the home.
We even held our own household competition… and a huge congratulations to Winstanley Household for taking the win with their fantastic Pudsey-themed display!⭐🐻

We had such a wonderful day full of creativity and smiles, all while supporting a great cause💛

Remembrance Day Reflection🇬🇧

To close our period of remembrance, our home came together today in a final minute’s silence!

As the days of remembrance pass, the people of our home have taken time to pause, reflect, and honour those who gave so much.
Their smiles remind us that remembrance is not only about honouring the past — but cherishing the joy and love it brought❤️

D-Day Dollies Performance🎶

What a truly wonderful afternoon we had!

Everyone was transported back in time with an incredible performance from the D-Day Dollies. Their beautiful harmonies, vintage style, and lively energy filled our home with joy, laughter, and a touch of nostalgia❤️

There were smiles all around, plenty of toe-tapping, and even a few dance moves as the ladies sang the wartime classics we all know and love. It was so special to see people reminiscing, sharing stories, and enjoying the music together.

A huge thank you to the D-Day Dollies from Mini Concerts, for such a heartwarming performance and for bringing so much happiness to the people of our home, their loved ones and our team!☺️

Remembrance Day❤️

This Remembrance Day, the people of our home and our team will come together to observe a minute’s silence in honour of all who served and sacrificed for our freedom.

As we gather in quiet reflection, we’ll remember the bravery, courage, and selflessness of those who gave so much — and continue to honour the legacy they left behind.

We will remember them🌹

Guy Fawkes Competition🧨

Team spirit was shining bright this Bonfire Night!

Each household joined forces with our amazing care team to create their own unique Guy Fawkes for our friendly competition. Using old clothes donated by the team, and any other supplies they could make use of around the home!

It’s wonderful to see creativity and laughter bringing everyone together☺️

Our fantastic Guys are now proudly sitting in our reception area — and they’re quite the talking point!

A Dream Day at Old Trafford! ❤️

Today Thomas and Ridwan had an amazing day out visiting Old Trafford, home of Manchester United!

Thomas explored the Trophy Gallery, walked by the famous pitch, relaxed with a cappuccino in the cafeteria, and even visited the Home and Away dressing rooms. Of course, he couldn’t leave without a stop at the Manchester United Store for some special souvenirs!

Thomas said he “enjoyed every bit of the experience” and thanked the Rowans team for helping make his long-time wish to visit Old Trafford come true.❤️

He described the visit as “a dream come true,” and we couldn’t be happier to see that big smile on his face.

A huge thank you to the Old Trafford staff for their warm welcome — and a very special thank you to our amazing team leader Ridwan for helping Thomas make this day possible! Your continued hard work and dedication to the people of The Rowans does not go unnoticed, and we will always be grateful to have you on our team!🤍

Halloween at The Rowans!👻

As the Halloween fun comes to an end, we’ve loved looking back on all the spooktacular memories we made this year!🧡

We celebrated in true Rowans style with our annual Halloween party — complete with spooky games, laughter, and of course, plenty of dancing!💃🕺

The highlight of the afternoon was our amazing singer, Lucy from Cherry Tree Entertainment, who once again filled the room with music and smiles. Thank you, Lucy, for such a fantastic performance — we can’t wait to welcome you back soon!✨

A big thank you to everyone who helped make the day so special — from setting up decorations to creating our fun photo frames!

Pumpkin Day at The Rowans!🎃

This weekend, our home was filled with laughter, creativity, and a touch of autumn magic as the people of The Rowans celebrated Pumpkin Day in true seasonal style!🍂

We gathered together for an afternoon of good old-fashioned pumpkin carving, and it was wonderful to see everyone getting stuck in — scooping, carving, and decorating their pumpkins with care and imagination. From traditional spooky faces to fun and unique designs, each pumpkin was as special and full of character as the person who made it🧡

It wasn’t just about the carving — it was about the joy of being together, sharing stories, laughter, and plenty of smiles along the way☺️
