Wins like these are why I love what I do.

🐾 A client came to me worried they might have to give up their dog.
Shoulder pain meant they couldn’t manage a lead without real discomfort. Fast forward through consistent rehab and they’re now pain free — back out walking, confident, and keeping a much-loved companion at home where they belong. That’s more than a shoulder fix. That’s quality of life.

🌅 Another client is simply… enjoying life again.
After a long rehab journey, seeing someone move freely, smile more, and get back to the things that make them them is incredibly rewarding. Progress isn’t always quick — but it’s powerful.

🏉 And one more big win: back to rugby.
Post neck injury, it wasn’t just about physical recovery — it was about rebuilding confidence and resilience. Stepping back onto the pitch takes courage, and being part of that journey is something I never take for granted.

Physiotherapy isn’t just exercises and appointments.
It’s independence.
It’s identity.
It’s getting people back to what matters most.

Proud of every single one of these wins this week.

This week’s wins were the kind that really stay with you.

One client is back running ultra marathons — after months of patience, setbacks, trust, and showing up when it wasn’t easy.
Seeing that kind of return to what someone loves never gets old.

Another big reminder this week: how important it is to truly listen. Listening to my clients builds trust. It tells their story. And it allows me to tailor rehab that actually fits their life — not just their injury.

And a win that matters just as much: helping a client stay in work.
Being able to move, manage pain, and keep doing their job can be life-changing — and I don’t take that responsibility lightly.

These moments are why I do what I do.
It’s not just about rehab — it’s about people, purpose, and progress in all its forms.

Shoulder pain when lifting your arm?
A sharp pinch reaching overhead?
You may be experiencing shoulder impingement, one of the most common causes of shoulder discomfort.

What is it?
Shoulder impingement occurs when the space in the shoulder becomes reduced, causing the rotator cuff tendons or bursa to become compressed during arm movement.

Common Signs & Symptoms:
✔️ Pain when lifting the arm overhead
✔️ Discomfort lying on the affected side
✔️ Weakness or fatigue in the shoulder
✔️ A “pinching” sensation with certain movements

Common Causes:
🔹 Poor posture (rounded shoulders)
🔹 Muscle imbalances or weakness
🔹 Repetitive overhead activities
🔹 Reduced shoulder mobility

How Physio Helps:
A tailored physiotherapy program can:
💪 Improve shoulder strength and stability
🧘 Increase mobility and restore healthy movement patterns
📉 Reduce inflammation and pain
🎯 Address posture and contributing factors to prevent recurrence

What You Can Do Today:
• Avoid painful overhead movements temporarily
• Apply ice after aggravating activity
• Start gentle range-of-motion exercises
• Seek professional assessment to prevent long-term irritation

If you’re experiencing ongoing shoulder pain, early intervention is key. Book an assessment and let’s help you move with confidence again.

The Boxing Day walk has always been one of my favourite family traditions – a chance to slow down, burn off a few of the festive calories, spend time with loved ones, and enjoy the simple joy of being outdoors… dogs included! 🐾❤️

A gentle walk after the festivity of Christmas Day isn’t just indulgence, it’s good for the body and the mind—it’s a great way to reset, stretch muscles, and get the joints moving after a day of festive feasting.

Whether it’s a brisk 20-minute stroll or a longer adventure through the park with family and furry friends, these walks can:
✅ Boost circulation and mobility
✅ Help digestion and reduce stiffness
✅ Lift your mood and reduce stress

So, grab your family or friends, round up the dogs, and make your Boxing Day walk a heartwarming tradition that leaves everyone feeling happier, healthier, and a little more connected. 💛

Here’s to small steps, big smiles, and cherished memories! 👣✨
