Today on International Women’s Day, we loved seeing this wonderful post from Willow Rose Care Home celebrating the amazing women who make their community so special 💜

Willow Rose Care Home is home to many of our patients, and we are always grateful for the kindness, dedication, and compassion their team shows every single day. Supporting residents with such warmth and dignity truly makes a difference to the people in their care and to the wider community.

Thank you to all the staff at Willow Rose for the incredible work you do, and for the care you provide to those we look after together.

Happy International Women’s Day to the inspiring women at Willow Rose and everywhere 🌸

Residents and visitors to Dudley are warmly invited to a free, welcoming women’s health event as the NOWT Women’s Health Bus Tour rolls into Dudley Town Centre on Friday 6 March 2026, in celebration of International Women’s Day.

Taking place from 10am to 4pm, near the fountains and markets, the event is open to everyone and designed to make conversations about women’s health more accessible, supportive and stigma-free.

NOWT – Navigating Our Womanhood Together – is a new collective of 12 local voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise (VCFSE) organisations working alongside the NHS to support people across the Black Country with all aspects of women’s health. NOWT exists to connect people, share knowledge and build community around menstrual health, menopause, reproductive health and wider women’s wellbeing – recognising that everyone’s experience is different.

Visitors to the NOWT bus can drop in at any time during the day to meet friendly professionals and community organisations, including experts from The Menopause School, MSI Reproductive Choices, the NHS and other partners. On board, visitors can expect informal chats about menstrual and reproductive health, information and support around breast and ovarian cancer, mini health checks, free wellbeing goodies and the chance to learn more about local support available in their community.

The event is free to attend, no booking is required and everyone is welcome.

📞 Waiting for a GP Callback? Please Keep Your Phone Close! 💙

If you’ve booked a callback with a GP, please make sure your phone is nearby and switched on 🔔

👩‍⚕️ Our GPs will usually try to call twice, but due to high demand, we can’t always guarantee a third attempt.

❗ If we can’t reach you:
Your appointment may be marked as missed, and you may need to contact us again.

🔄 We often see patients who miss their call, then ring back the following day for another callback which creates a cycle and takes up appointments that could be used for others in need.

💡 A simple way to help:
✔ Keep your phone with you
✔ Answer calls from unknown or withheld numbers
✔ Make sure your ringer is on

By answering when the GP calls, you help us keep appointments available and running smoothly for everyone 🙌

Thank you for helping us help you 💙
