🐾 “How long will my dog be in the treadmill?”
This is one of the most common questions we get in hydrotherapy.
The truth is — there isn’t a fixed time. We work at your dog’s pace.
Some dogs may only manage a few minutes during early sessions while they get used to the treadmill, water and environment. That’s completely normal.
Our focus is always quality of movement, not pushing for longer time. If we notice signs of fatigue, we will stop the session rather than push further, as overworking muscles can slow progress.
You may also notice that some days your dog tires quicker than others. This can happen if they’ve had extra exercise at home, a longer walk, or simply a busy day. When this happens we may do less — and that’s part of working safely with your dog.
💧 Why we often recommend a block of 6 sessions and what to expect:
Session 1 – Introduction and confidence building
Sessions 2–3 – Becoming more comfortable and gradually increasing work
Sessions 4–6 – Muscles adapting with improvements in strength and stamina
Hydrotherapy is a gradual process, but done correctly it can make a huge difference to mobility, recovery and long-term comfort. 🐶💦
