Updated Covid-19 Protocols Friday 25th February 2022.

Just a little update for our Patients concerning face masks/ coverings.

We would still prefer for you to wear your face mask/ coverings when you attend your appointments.
As a team we will continue to wear PPE and face masks as this ensures that everyone who visits us can do so safely and without worry.

We are still asking you to arrive no more than 5 minutes early as this limits the number of people in the Surgery at any one time.

Hand sanitiser is available in reception.

Please let us know as soon as you are able if you have any covid symptoms or feel unwell and we can reschedule your appointment.

Covid 19 update as of Saturday 29th January 2022.

Covid 19 update as of Monday 19th July 2021.

As of Monday 19th July face masks/ coverings will no longer be mandatory. However, in healthcare settings you will still be required to wear them whilst attending your appointments.
This ensures the continued protection of our Patients and Staff enabling everyone who visits us to do so safely and without worry.
We will be monitoring the guidance both from the government and our own governing body.
We will continue to:
Pre-screen the day before your appointment to remind you to arrive no more than 5 minutes early.

To remind you to wear your mask.

Provide sanitiser on entry.

Sanitise all Patient areas such as reception and treatment rooms.

We ask that you let us know before your appointment if:

You have recently travelled to or from abroad.

Been in contact with anyone that has Covid symptoms.

You feel unwell in any way.

We would like to thank everyone for their continued support, understanding and patience.

Covid update as of Jan 5th 2021.

We are pleased to say that we are open during this latest lockdown.
We are adhering to Government and our own governing bodies guidelines to provide a safe environment.
We will be ringing all Patients before their appointment to pre-screen and remind them of the surgery's protocol.

Covid 19 update November 2nd 2020.

Following the latest government guidelines and the advice of our own Podiatry Society, we are pleased to say that we will be staying open and will not be closing during the lockdown.
The welfare of our Patients is our priority and we are continuing to ensure that all of the appropriate measures are in place for your safety and ours.
Please attend your appointments as normal, (unless advised otherwise) , but should you wish to cancel, please ring us on 01202 841751.
If you have an appointment, please follow the protocol below;

Let us know before your appointment if you develop Covid 19 symptoms or have been in contact with anyone else that has symptoms.

Arrive no more than 5 minutes before your appointment time.

Come on your own (unless you need a carer) straight from home.

The Surgery door will be locked, so please wait outside until cleared to enter reception area.

Wear a face covering.

Preferably pay by contactless card.

We are pleased to say that we are open and working our way through the backlog of Patients requiring appointments.

Coronavirus update 24/03/2020

We are now closed.

Due to the current situation with coronavirus (covid-19),we regret to inform you that all future appointments are cancelled until further notice.
We understand that this isn't easy for anyone but we have a duty of care towards you, our other clients and ourselves and our families to prevent the spread of this virus.
Please follow the guidelines on self isolation, social distancing and shielding, this is the best way to protect yourselves.
We may be able to attend URGENT appointments only, depending on government guidelines, but please contact us if you would like to discuss this.
Telephone consultations for advice or home visits may be an option if the risk of foot problems is greater than the risk of covid-19.
Routine nail care is not essential but lack of care can lead to problems especially if this situation extends more than 3 months.
Please do not hesitate to contact us for advice or to discuss options.

❗✨PLEASE READ AND SHARE THIS VITAL INFORMATION ✨❗

Wimborne Chiropody Surgery is open as usual.

We would like to reassure all our patients that we are stringently following official government advice regarding the coronavirus covid - 19 pandemic..

Please phone us to cancel if you have only returned from holiday or trips abroad within the last 14 days or if you have been in direct contact with someone diagnosed with covid-19.
We will be happy to move your appointment to a later date.

Current government advice is to self isolate for 7days if you have a new continuous cough and/or a high temperature(>37.8°C).
If a member of your household is showing symptoms you should all self isolate for 14 days. You should call NHS 111 if your symptoms are worsening but please do not visit your GP unless you are told to do so.

If you are over 70 or an at risk patient you should socially distance yourself, avoid group gatherings and keep your distance from others when you go out.
This does not mean you cannot access health care.
If you are fit and well and show no signs of coronavirus we are happy for you to attend your appointment as normal.
If you are a high risk patient such as those with diabetes we are able to tailor an appointment to your needs if necessary. It is important to maintain foot care, as not doing so can lead to serious problems..

We are doing everything we can to keep you safe at this time, in any physical contact you have with us.
This includes maintaining our high standards of infection control such as:
Regular handwashing/sanitising
Single use gloves
Sterile instruments
Daily and weekly cleaning procedures

In addition to this we have increased the extent and frequency of our surface wiping and have made hand gel available for your use.

If you don't already have an appointment and would like to be seen before any potential lock down. Please get in touch for a prompt appointment..
