I turned 50 last weekend, and instead of having an existential crisis (tempting), I’ve mostly found myself feeling quietly proud — and grateful. This industry has shaped so much of my life: my career, my curiosity, the people I’ve met, and the way I care for myself.
One thing I get asked constantly is what I actually do for my own skin. The truth is, nothing dramatic. I’ve always believed that small, consistent habits beat big overhauls. Subtle, steady, and tailored — that’s my philosophy.
My monthly non-negotiable is Signature Dermapen Microneedling with the ÜBER Peel. It keeps things smooth, bright and collagen-happy. And when I can, I slip in a Fusion treatment — 90 minutes that feel like my brain has gone on holiday while radiofrequency quietly does the long-term work.
Every three months I have Profhilo, I keep up with a touch of Botox, and once a year I refresh my cheek filler — the smallest amount, nothing drastic. Just enough to keep things lifted so gravity doesn’t win too quickly.
And skincare — I’m loyal. iS Clinical everything: Cleansing Complex, Pro-Heal Serum, Youth Intensive Crème at night, Extreme Protect SPF in the morning, and lately the new Daily Dynamic Hydrator because my skin has decided it deserves nice things.
I’m sharing this not to convert anyone into a walking ingredients list, but to show that good skin doesn’t require extremes. With the right treatments and a steady, sane routine, you can look fresh, feel confident and age in a way that actually feels like you — even when you hit the big 5-0 and realise it’s really not that scary after all.
