A reminder from Bear Grylls about the importance of encouraging resilience in our children and the long term gains that come through developing an inner strength.
“Resilience is a muscle that gets stronger when worked over time and that fire is inside us all if we only dig deep enough to uncover it. Pair that with kindness to those around you in tough situations, plus courage in the big moments, and you have the winning ingredients for the wild and life.”
Resilience is particularly essential for neurodivergent children to navigate a world which is can be negative and confusing. They, more than most, need the ability to bounce back from social, sensory and academic challenges with confidence.
At Clear View Education, we know that building resilience does not mean asking a student to mask their neurodivergent traits; rather, it involves us creating a supportive environment where our pupils feel safe, understood, and capable.
