Are you struggling for food? Here are some option for free/cheap meals that we have put together.
You can also utilise:
- Too good to go - Surplus food for a reduced cost
- Olio app - Free food from shops due to short dates
- The bread and butter thing - Surplus food for a reduced cost
- Kids eat free - Promotion for families to help with the cost of living (Check with the restaurant/café).
- Your local pantry- Members pay a small subscription of a few pounds a week, and in return can choose groceries worth many times more, often saving up to £1,000 a year on shopping bills.

Please speak to your local Social prescribing team for more advice and support for things like food packages, supermarket vouchers, budgeting, maximising benefits and finances.

Join us on the 28th August at Wingate Community Association for our summer festival!! We'll have games, a bouncy castle, a DJ, and snacks provided by Robinsons Wingate! Also very grateful to have Doug Langhan singing for us from 12pm! We also have staff on site for any health advice and to provide mini health checks. We would love to have you there 😁🥳🎶

We are less than a week away from our Family festival! Guaranteed fun and full bellies! A special visit from Peppa Pig and a chance to speak to health professionals on health promotion ! No booking necessary. And free food provided by our local butchers - Robinson’s

Age UK will host a digital drop-in session on Friday, August 15th, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Roseby Road, Horden.

Attendees will have the opportunity to:

* Gain proficiency in utilizing computers, laptops, and mobile phones.
* Acquire skills in online shopping.
* Learn to navigate the NHS app for appointment scheduling and result viewing.
* Explore methods for online communication with contacts.

For those aged 50+ without a personal device, an Age UK representative will be available to provide information on their complimentary tablet loan program. Furthermore, our social prescribers will be present to offer non-clinical support.

PLEASE NOTE: For initial use of the NHS app, please be advised that a form of identification will be required for verification purposes.
