This one's for my recovering people pleasers...

Because more often than not, we find ourselves shrinking, shifting and making ourselves more 'palatable' to be liked, to be accepted, and to try and keep everyone happy.

But in the famous words of , "You can be the ripest, juciest peach in the world , and you'll still find someone who hates peaches πŸ˜‰"

So when we realise that we can't be everyone's cup of tea, we start to be more authentically ourselves - and finding our tribe πŸ₯°

Sunshine & Daylight really DO make an impact 🌞 β˜€οΈ
What a much needed mood boost it's been with the sunshine and blue sky today & yesterday here 😌
I feel like an instantly nicer human 🀣

Exposure to natural daylight plays a vital part in managing our own internal body clocks (circadian rhythm) which contributes to healthy sleep and wake cycles.

There are countless benefits to being in nature, and here's a few of my fave simple yet effective mindfulness practices in the great outdoors :

1) Take your morning cuppa outside , listen to the birdsong, feel the warmth of that mug and enjoy natural daylight waking up the body and brain (rather than jumping straight onto a screen or device upon waking)

2) Mindful observation, take note of the changing colours of the season. Notice the yellow of emerging daffodils, the purples of crocuses and the signs of nature that indicate spring is on it's way. (Then check your improved mood afterwards πŸ˜‰)

3) Planting seeds , gardening can create mindful moments for novices and seasoned pro's alike. The process of tending to seeds, nurturing them and working at nature's pace for them to emerge (rather than rushing for instant gratification) is a wonderful way to be more in the moment.

4) Deep diaphragmatic breaths in the fresh air.
Try inhaling for 3 seconds and exhaling for 5 to start with, a few gentle rounds - and then extending your inhales, exhales and breath holds for a more invigorating and energising or calming effect depending on your needs and preferences.

5) Stop and smell the roses... πŸ˜‰
Take a moment to notice the floral scents, herbaceous aromas and the natural fragrance of trees and blooms at this time of year. Nature's relaxation at its finest.

Today charity we enjoyed the aroma of rose and geranium with some mindful breathing , mindfully observed the patterns of flowers ans created our own mandala creations with spring paint colours. Then it was time for a calm meditation😊
