We had a great time celebrating spring yesterday in our cosy cabin at Abbeyfield Winnersh. A warm welcome to our new members too!

Collages, cards and stencils were used to create some really effective artwork.

It's an old quote but a very true one and one that have really embraced.

They organise mental health walks for men over the age of 18, with the aim of bringing men together in a safe space to end the stigma around men's mental health and wellness by supporting each other.

The instructions are simple:

1. Go to Cantley Park on a Monday night at 6.30pm

2. Walk.

It doesn't matter who you are or what you do for a living, you will be welcome. No judgements, no commitment, no changes and no fee. Just turn up.

A simple conversation could help save someone’s life.

If you spot someone who doesn’t look OK. Small, soft questions can be a gentle way in - they interrupt the cycle of thoughts without pressuring or overwhelming someone. They can help someone shift a little inside and engage with the world outside of their thoughts

With the dreadful, windy weather yesterday blowing away the feeling of spring, we chose to focus on Mother's Day as a theme for our art journalling in our art for wellbeing workshop yesterday.

Sending love to all the mums of all kinds this weekend - step-mums, new mums, foster mums, those who have lost, those expecting, those longing to be a mum, mums doing it alone, mums figuring it out, those missing their mum, everyone who is a mum.
