❄️🐾 Cold Weather Pet Safety! 🐾❄️

The temperatures are dropping, and our pets need a little extra care to stay warm and safe. Here are some quick tips for dogs, cats & rabbits:

🐶 Dogs

• Keep walks shorter in freezing weather
• Pop a coat on short-haired or older dogs
• Watch for shivering or lifting paws — they’re too cold!
• Dry paws after walks to avoid ice or salt irritation

🐱 Cats

• Bring them indoors during very cold spells
• Check sheds/garages before closing — cats love hiding in warm spots
• Provide warm, draft-free sleeping areas
• Keep an eye on older cats who may struggle more with the cold

🐰 Rabbits

• If outdoors, make sure hutches are insulated, raised off the ground & wind-proof
• Provide lots of extra hay for warmth
• Ensure water bottles don’t freeze
• Indoor rabbits should be kept away from cold drafts
