Call for Bike Donations: Fueling Exploration & Well-being!
​We are on a mission to enrich the lives of our students (ages 12-25) by getting them active and outdoors! We urgently need donations of a few bicycles so our students can cycle around the scenic Perdiswell Park.
​Cycling is fantastic for mental and physical well-being, and what better way to enjoy our beautiful local area? Every bike donated brings an opportunity for fresh air, exercise, and new perspectives.
​Do you have a bike you no longer use that could make a huge difference? We would be incredibly grateful for any contribution!

📣 Important Announcement from Bush Buddies After School Club at North Worcester Primary 🌳
​To all our amazing Bush Buddies and their families,
​We are writing to let you know that our 'Bush Buddies' after-school club will be taking a short, but essential, rest period. We adore our forest area, and to ensure its long-term health and to support the wonderful wildlife that calls it home, we need to allow the space time to recoup and grow naturally.
​Why the Break? Promoting Habitats and Biodiversity
​Our 'bush' area is a living classroom and a critical ecosystem. All the fantastic fun and learning we've had can sometimes lead to the ground getting a little compacted, which hinders the natural growth of plants and saplings.
​Habitat Support: Giving the area a rest allows the undergrowth, which forms vital habitats, to regrow. This dense, protective cover is essential for insects, small mammals (like hedgehogs), and ground-nesting birds to thrive and shelter.
​Biodiversity: Natural regeneration encourages a wider variety of native plants to flourish, which in turn supports a richer diversity of insects, butterflies, and other creatures—all vital parts of a healthy ecosystem.
​Soil Health: Less foot traffic gives the soil a chance to breathe and its natural structure to recover, which is crucial for water retention and nutrient cycling. This means bigger, stronger, and healthier plants for us to explore when we return!
​We are committed to teaching our Bush Buddies the importance of sustainability and caring for the natural world, and sometimes, that means stepping back to let nature do its work.
​We have discussed this thoroughly with North Worcester Primary School, and we are in complete agreement that this is the best course of action for the longevity of our forest club area.
​We anticipate being back up and running with our after-school sessions sometime in the New Year. We will keep you updated with a confirmed start date.
