💫 Exciting News 💫

Coming Soon : Electronic Prescription Service (EPS)

We are please to announce from March 16 we will be live on the Electronic Prescription Service (EPS), that means that if we are your nominated Pharmacy your Prescription will be sent electronically to us from your surgery's - please note this will only happen once your surgery is live too, (paper copies will remain in place until they are)

Strathmore Medical Practice will be our 1st surgery going live so we will now be taking your nominations, when you call into Branch you will be asked to complete a consent form so we can collect your nomination ready for the live date ✔️

Please be aware if you have not nominated us, your scripts will stay on the spine and can be downloaded by any pharmacy, so it is extremely important that you fill out the nomination form

In the mean time please feel free to call into Branch and ask for a consent form and we will be more than happy to help ✨️

🔺️ Polite Notice 🔺️

Unfortunately, over the last week, we have been subject to a small number of paitents being unpleasant to the team regarding the surgery's not sending us their prescriptions.
Can I please remind Paitents that although it is frustrating when the doctors don't send us scripts, it is not our fault.

We are dispensers, we do not decide wether you can have medication or not, our job is to dispense the medication on the GREEN slip once we recieve it from your surgery, if we do not recieve a GREEN script we are unable to process medication

If your medication is on repeat, this does not mean it is automatic

If we order for you, this happens by us sending the white slip that you leave with us when you collect your medication, again can I please stress that once we send this off to the surgey it is then up to them to authorise it and send us a script, if they choose not to do this, again this is out of our control and you will need to take this up with the surgery who will know why its not been authorised, this is not information that we at the pharmacy hold.

We are also having to remind paitents that even if the doctors tell you they have sent a script to us it, does not mean it has been sent the same day, our drivers only collect once daily, once we recieve the prescription it then takes 48 HOURS (unless marked urgent) to be ready for collection due to our process of using our off site dispensing!

I know this is a long-winded post, but unfortunately, this last week has been very disheartening for my team when they are getting verbal abuse for things out of our control.

Thank you to the vast majority of patients who understand the process and make our job enjoyable and appreciated 😀

🎅 Xmas Ordering 🎅

If you order your own prescriptions, can I please ask that you order early if you need them before Xmas? Please don't leave it till Xmas week to realise you are running low on medications.

We are now operating on one delivery a day, so unfortunately, if we do not have your prescription in time, we can not guarantee the medications will be back in time.

Please get your prescriptions to us by 17th for them to be ready in time for Christmas 🎄

The cold months are very much here. Here at Borras we offer a variety of services under our Common Aliments Service, including sore throat test & treat *Funded by the NHS

❄️☃️ Winter is here ❄️☃️

Over the next few months, with the weather changing, we will see a rise in Sore Throats.
Test and Treat is available in our Branch, please make an appointment online or call up to book and our pharmacist will be able to swob and prescribe antibiotics if you have a positive test 😷
