The Jubilee Beau Unicorn Equine Project is hosting a charity race night on Saturday 11th April, 7.30pm -11pm at the Delph Bar & Restaurant, in Acrefair, Wrexham.

Tickets are £15 for adults and £12.40 for children and include hot food and homemade cake.
It's £3 to sponsor a horse--name and own a racehorse for the night, with winning owners receiving a prize and rosette.
Business sponsors can also sponsor races £25 per race and have their business advertised on the night.

ASNEW Heddfan drop-in on Thursday

We are at Heddfan Psychiatric Unit at Wrexham Maelor Hospital every week on a Thursday from 1pm to 3:30pm.

If you or anyone you know is currently an inpatient at Heddfan and would like to speak to us about community advocacy, we visit the wards and then end our visit at Café Kim.

A new cohort of Active Futures starts this April!

This award‑winning 12‑week programme is designed to help people over 50 feel stronger, steadier and more confident. It’s now available for just £72 for all 24 sessions (only £3 per session), including free pre‑ and post‑assessments.


What’s included for £72:

-24 structured physical activity sessions
-24 wellbeing and peer support sessions (confidence, pain, lifestyle, habits)
- Qualified staff trained in frailty, MSK, falls prevention and behaviour change
- Free pre‑assessment and post‑assessment
- Weekly refreshments
- Transport available if needed
- A free water bottle to get started
- Optional programme t‑shirt available to buy


Why the programme works

- Based on clinically proven frailty and MSK protocols
- Uses the COM‑B behaviour change model so improvements last
- Designed for adults aged 50+ looking to feel stronger, healthier and more independent
- Delivered locally in friendly, supportive community settings
