Have you thought about becoming one of our many sponsors?
Remember, remember the 5th November. Gunpowder, treason and plot.
Today, we celebrate the failure of the Gunpowder Plot on 5th November 1605, with a bonfire, fireworks and possibly burning an effigy of Guy Fawkes, while enjoying some delicious food.
Wherever you are tonight, remember to stay safe and enjoy yourselves!

In the Catholic tradition, November is known as the Month of Remembrance for the dead.

Happy Halloween to all our members. Does anyone else feel like a cliche around Halloween, especially in uniform?
Also known as All Hallows Eve, it is not exactly known how it started. Some say that it was influenced by Celtic Harvest Festivals such as the Gaelic festival Samhaim, which has Pagan roots. While others believed it started as a Christian Holiday, particularly celebrated by the Irish and Scottish, by the early church.
However it started, it has eventually become associated with the macabre, supernatural and the celebration of horror, that we know today.
Whatever you are doing tonight, stay safe and watch out for the dead, who are said to be able to walk among us tonight!
