We held our first Yoga for Social Justice at the beginning of January and it was so beautiful! We discussed what it even means to practice yoga for social justice, we shared our difficult experiences of yoga as well as the times where it's helped our mental health and felt expansive. We surrounded our conversations with physical, energetic and mental practices taking time to embody the topic of yoga for social justice. We dreamt and imagined a world without injustice being guided by black feminist thinkers adrienne marie brown and Tricia Hersey.
Next month, on 8th February, we'll continue this conversation about what it means to practice yoga for liberation supported by practices, discussion and relaxation.
