Just when we thought people couldn’t be anymore generous 🥹
We have today received a donation to cover travel and accommodation for our upcoming trip to Bristol so that Lexi can fulfil her dream!!
I have shared some information about The Pocklington Relief in Need charity, as I had never heard of them before they reached out!
If you or someone you know is in need of some support, or even if you can help them through a donation please get in touch with one of the trustees listed at the bottom.
Thank you again,

The Pocklington Relief in Need Charity has a history dating back to 1732. In 1982 a local solicitor applied to the charity commission to incorporate six small local charities into one charity administered by five trustees.
This became Pocklington Relief in Need Charity.
The aim of the Charity is to provide a confidential service, to give immediate awards out of the fund to Pocklington people in sudden need. Sometimes we are able to help those from the surrounding area too. The Charity has limited funds of around £1,000 pa which consist of rental income from rented Poor Law land, investments and donations. Unfortunately we cannot normally provide ongoing help but we pride ourselves in being able to provide that all important immediate response. One of our regular beneficiaries is the Citizen Advice Bureau which helps finance their local facility at the Methodist Church on Tuesday mornings.
The Charity welcomes applications from people in need and will do all that they can to assist those in genuine need. We have the advantage of being able to respond within hours of a request being made when the matter is urgent.
A number of recipients have been helped with interim payments for benefit malfunctions, heating bills, travel to work, flooding, and accommodation costs.
Obviously, greater funds would give us the ability to give more so if you are in a position to assist the Charity in any way with donations or legacies please contact
