Always secure the blood donor line with adequate tape. The needle could possibly shift which could cause vein fishing which is very very painful. Remember the tip of a needle is just like a surgical blade. 1/100th of an inch.

So this is blood that was drawn from a patient, who came in for severe abdominal pain and pain with numbess in the legs and feet. When it came out it was red, but as it sat it started to look like strawberry milk. This is from high levels of triglycerides due to excessive drinking of alcohol!! He had to go to the ER once they were done with fluids. LET ME SAY IT LOUDER FOR THE ONES IN THE BACK WORRYING ABOUT THE WRONG THINGS!! THIS IS FROM EXCESSIVE ALCOHOL DRINKING!! And if u think I'm talking to u 🫵 than ur probably exactly who I'm talking too!! I mean who cares about fun if you're dead right?
