🔥 THE FIFTH SACRIFICE: PRANAYAMA YAJNA
The fifth type of sacrifice is called Pranayama Yajna —
the Sacrifice of Breath and Life Force.
Pranayama is not just breathing…
It is conscious control of your life energy.
✨ It is the balance between:
🌬️ Inhalation (breathing in)
🌬️ Retention (holding the breath)
🌬️ Exhalation (breathing out)
In yogic science, the breath flows through two channels:
☀️ Right nostril (Sun energy)
🌙 Left nostril (Moon energy)
🧘🏽♂️ Basic Practice:
• Close the right nostril
• Inhale slowly through the left nostril
• Hold the breath gently
• Exhale through the right nostril
This cycle is Pranayama.
It is called a sacrifice because:
👉 You are controlling your natural breathing pattern
👉 You are disciplining your life force
👉 You are offering your breath into awareness
Within the body, this activates the five vital energies:
✨ Prana – life force energy
✨ Apana – downward energy (elimination)
✨ Samana – digestion and balance
✨ Udana – upward energy (speech, growth)
✨ Vyana – circulation throughout the body
🔥 What does Pranayama do?
• Awakens inner energy
• Calms the mind
• Balances the body
• Increases focus and clarity
• Elevates spiritual awareness
The breath is life.
When you master your breath…
You begin to master yourself.
