Diabetics don’t need special diet, so they can freely eat rice, bread, banku, fufu and other local delicacies.
A week ago, I was featured as a guest on zed radio as part of the world diabetes day to create awareness about the lifestyle keys to preventing diabetes.
In my presentation, I highlighted that to prevent diabetes, healthy eating and exercising is a must. We need to reduce intake of processed foods and increase the intake of vegetables. Also, due to our sedentary lifestyle due to modernization, we need to be intentional about staying active by trying to hitting the 10000 steps mark.
