You have seen the zebra crossing right? 🚸You probably have used it before but what do the markings actually mean?
📍Zebra crossing is a marked white-and-black striped pedestrian crossing areas designed for safe street crossing, yet they are frequently overlooked by drivers.
Legally, they mean motorists must slow down and stop to give way to pedestrians already on or intending to use the crossing.
When pedestrians are standing at the edge or crossing, drivers must stop, rather than force them to run or wait.
However, many of our drivers fail to respect these crossings, treating them as mere decorations rather than stop zones, which leads to high risks for pedestrians.
What has been your experience using zebra crossing as a pedestrian? We will like to hear from you.
