EDMUND DUODU ATWERI
Eddy is a Registered Community Nurse (RCN) and the National Chairman for the Registered Community Nurses Group - Ghana (RCNG-GH). He is also a fellow of the African Sexuality Regional Resource Centre and a World Health Organisation Primary Health Care Young Leader, A GAVI CSO Community Champion.
He has a certificate in Business Law from GIMPA and Currently offering BSc Community Health Nursing at Wisconsin University College. Kwahu Ridge Senior High Technical School served as a base for his secondary education.
Edmund is married with 1 child.
His work life started at Kwahu Afram Plains South District Health Directorate as the Acting District Public Health Nurse and the District CHPS coordinator from 2015 to 2018.
Eddy is a social entrepreneur, who serves as the Executive Director of Divine Mother and Child Foundation-DMAC, a non-profit NGO which have over the years raised over 1Million USD to support the less privileged in the community. He also helped to renovate and provided Solar power systems to some health centres and CHPS compounds.
His partnership with Vodafone Ghana Foundation, Health fest has provided free Health Screening across Ghana benefitting over 100,000 people and leverage this opportunity to donated PPEs to 5 Hospitals and some COVID-19 treatment centres during this pandemic.
Edmund provides free ultrasound scan services with over 20,000 pregnant women as beneficiaries.
Out of his numerous humanitarian activities, he has received numerous commendations as follows.

Community Development Heroes Award 2019.
An honouree of the Future Awards Africa for Community Action 2018.
A nominee of the Future Awards Africa (TFAA) for Community Action in 2015.

ASPIRATION
The foundation for every health system is primary health care and I want to see a future where Primary Health care in Ghana is strengthened and can provide the needed care for every community.
With recognition to the Community Health Nurse as the pillar in the Healthcare system with emough motivation.
MOTIVATION
The smile on the faces of the people I serve pushes me to do more to help the vulnerable in the communities.
