AGA Health Foundation Extends Care Through a Mini Health Clinic at Wawase

On 15th October 2025, together with AngloGold Ashanti Obuasi Mine, Otumfuo Foundation, Geocrest, Obuasi Municipal Health Directorates and other stakeholders, AGA Health Foundation - Obuasi, organized a Medical Outreach (Mini Health Clinic) at AGA Club House- Wawase for governmental security agencies, educational institutions, and the community of Wawase.

Over 800 participants received free screening and education on breast cancer, cervical cancer, and prostate cancer — ensuring both men and women benefited from this life-saving initiative.

The clinic also provided general health screening and counseling on non-communicable diseases, empowering participants with the knowledge to take charge of their health. The impact was deeply felt, as many community members expressed gratitude for the opportunity to access medical care and awareness close to home.

On 2nd October 2025, AGA Health Foundation took a proactive step in promoting cancer awareness among employees and contractors of the hospital by organizing a health talk and training session focused on Breast and Prostate Cancer.

The session aimed to educate staff on the effect of cancer on one’s health, the importance of early detection, and the role of regular screening in improving outcomes and saving lives.

Through interactive discussions and expert-led presentations, participants gained valuable insights into prevention, symptoms, and healthy lifestyle practices that reduce cancer risks.

Throwback: Oncology & Renal Medical Camp – September 17 & 18, 2025 💙✨

On September 17, 2025, AGA Health Foundation, in partnership with AngloGold Ashanti Ghana, Obuasi Health Directorates – GHS, MT Shekti Ltd., and Apollo Hospitals – India, successfully organized a Free Oncology & Renal Medical Camp alongside an update session on newer trends in oncology care for healthcare professionals.

The program brought hope, healing, and specialist care to participants, reminding us of the power of collaboration in saving lives and strengthening communities.

A total of 60 patients with varied kidney and cancer conditions received medical attention.

On Day 2 (September 18, 2025), an educational session was held for healthcare professionals within the Obuasi Municipalities. The forum emphasized the importance of early detection and intervention, while offering clinicians and caregivers valuable insights into the latest trends in cancer care.

At AGA Health Foundation, our commitment remains clear — early detection, better treatment, and healthier futures. We believe in going far, not “just” fast. Through collaboration, we build stronger, healthier communities.
