The University of Adelaide and University of Melbourne scientists who did the study said what people ate before they died should be questioned when liver damage was discovered during an autopsy.

Primary biliary cirrhosis: In this rare disorder, an unclear process slowly destroys the bile ducts in the liver. Permanent liver scarring (cirrhosis) eventually develops.
